How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years?

Lets say I want to buy bitcoins today and store them for 20 years to use a my retirement fund.  Live comfortably, but don't need to buy a yacht or anything.  How many do you think I would need to buy?

Since a number of year has passed when you retire we don't know the price of the bitcoin, it can be so much higher than the price today or even much lower so just get as many as you can.

You should also have some retirement fund in your current job of course and your bitcoin should just be an add-ons to it

You will need a lot of bitcoin probably cause I think in 20 years the price will be dumped down cause bitcoin will probably have died out.
The cryptocurrency is still fresh so expect competition eventually it will be beat.

What is important is you need to know how much you need in 20 years for your goal in life, with that you can analyze who much bitcoin are you going to save as you investment, you cannot be greedy here because we still do not know what will happen in the future, bitcoin might succeed or fail both are possible.

i cannot say any thing about that actually, the problem is that the price of bitcoin never remain constant and we do not have any idea that what will be the price of bitcoin after 20 years therefore it is not good to depend on bitcoin for living.

Nobody can give a straight answer to this question it really depends on how much bitcoin will be worth if it will be worth anything in that much time.
But I'd just get as much as possible if you want to be on the save side of course.

yeah right I do not think anyone could answer how many bitcoin you have to collect, because no one knows about the state of the world at that time, could have been the price of bitcoin dropped dramatically, so you need a lot of bitcoin, or even the price of bitcoin is very high, which we can do is continue to collect bitcoin

At even current price 500Bitcoins is a huge amount and considering after 20 years,the price increase that can be huge but yes no body can predict any thing going to happen after 20 years and specially with bitcoin we can not tell where it goes,so making prediction is not possible from now.

we do not expect at a price that will go very high in the next 20 years. as you would think, a smaller amount of bitcoin eligible to retire. but you have to think that the price will be stable as it is now in the future. so you can calculate the amount bitcoin eligible to retire and in my opinion at least 100 bitcoin well for retirement. if the price is in the range as it is now. I own quite sure if bitcoin can survive the next 20 years, because bitcoin depleted mined over the next 20 years.

No one of us knows how many Bitcoin you will need to retire at that time.
Hell we don't even know if Bitcoin will be around in 20 years!
But let's assume Bitcoin will still exist and be the number one relevant coin.
Then imo you will need much less than your predicted amount of coins. A tiny fraction of that coul be enough!
Bitcoin's potential is massive in terms of value!
Satoshi himself said it will be either a huge success or it will fail!

true I think no one can be sure how bitcoin should you collect because we do not know the future of bitcoin and we do not know the cost of living in the 20 years to come, so I can only give advice to collect bitcoin as much as possible, maybe it will help

No mate, we need to decide now, and maybe we need to start saving now. We cannot ascertain the future so we need to just predict the future, do not consider that value as it will just come. What is important that you should do is just to save more bitcoin as you can.
