Yeah, but I think it is inevitable. BitcoinTalk will never be a productive place to make BlackCoin truly successful. BitcoinTalk is a good place for unknown coins to gain a following, but it's a horrible place for an established coin to try and advance further. Too much of the BitcoinTalk community as a whole is only interested in making a quick buck pump and dumping new coins, or at least riding along while others do so. A large amount of people on BitcoinTalk don't give a fuck about the future of crypto. They're here to take, not to add. BlackCoin is a natural enemy to these people: 1) If BLK + Proof of Stake really takes hold in the crypto world, it puts a big dent in mining as a concept and 2) If BLK kept rocketing up, it would hurt the effectiveness of the short term BLK clone pump and dumps.
Internet forums are old technology that has been abandoned for good reason: It only takes a few posters with an agenda to completely troll and derail any legitimate discussion. Nobody should put much stock into what's posted on any section of this website when there's money involved.
More people need to realize what goes along with being a TOP TEN cryptocurrency. We're not going to have a happy little thread safe from trolls by obscurity. We're not an upstart trying to find any place in the world. We are TOP TEN and trying to become TOP THREE or better. You don't do that organizing on someone else's turf.
I'm not saying we should all abandon this place, but that as a community we need to keep expanding our reach.
Looking at volume of posts about new projects and such, most of our productive community has moved to the subreddit (
http://www.reddit.com/r/blackcoin).
