Do note that the large jump in users DIRECTLY correlates to when the price of Curecoin spiked - I for one have never seen whatever that video is that was mentioned earlier in the thread, but I DEFINITELY track Curecoin pricing and relative profitablility.

Thanks to confirm what I said above!  Smiley

[...] sadly the older 9xx rigs are still making quite a bit more on ETH than on CURE and I can't afford to swap them over at this point.
Now if I could just get foldcoin working TOO (for what it's worth)....

While FLDC has lower value than CURE, you need to take into account that you get way more FLDC than CURE per folding day so at the end of the day you earn about as much value (in $) per day with both cryptos. And the good news is that you don't need to choose between the two. With merged folding you can earn both at the same time and therefore double your daily income. I don't think I'm too far from reality saying that merged folding is now the most profitable way to use GPUs. So, if I were you I'd switch all my 9xx rigs to merged folding...

And I'd keep my cryptos because with CURE 2.0 + SigmaX released (+/-)soon and the future reward halving of FLDC both are going to rise...

EVGA, unfortunately, seems likely to hold on to #1 for the forseeable future - though if Curecoin price stays where it's at or climbs some more that might EVENTUALLY change.

Well, if all GPU mining guys would get to know that merged folding is now more profitable than mining, we'll quickly beat EVGA. So spread the word guys and let's give F@H more computing power than they ever dreamed of!

I couldn't have said it better!

Go CureCoin!

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

If I could ever get the merged folding stuff to WORK, I probably would move the 9xx rigs over.
I've been TRYING to get it to work for months not, and NOTHING to date.

I was aware the number of FLDC was higher, just have no clue about the relative income from each at this point.

Pretty sure you just have to have "_FLDC_<your XCP wallet address>" or "_ALL_<your XCP wallet address>" at the end of your F@H username, and the FLDC and other XCP payouts happen automatically at the end of each month. I can't say for sure because I only changed my username this month so I haven't had a payout yet.

To get your cure payouts, as I'm sure you should already know, make sure your cryptobullionpools.com username matches your F@H username and you are folding for team 224497.

Cure payouts haven't been a problem. But there's more to it than that on FDLC.
Just tried a new setup about a week ago though, will have to see how that works.

Once a month payouts though are a sad joke. That sort of thing makes me wonder how long FDLC will even exist.

I think that for the moment they do the distribution by hand which explains why they switched from daily to weekly to monthly.
But it might go back to shorter period as they are working on a new distribution server.

Not a whole lot of support over at the curecoin forum on their website.  I am trying to mine it with a gridseed orb that I've used for scrypt, and someone is suggesting that I need to set it to sha256 and then the conversation died.  Is there a better place to discuss mining this coin?

Yes it uses the SHA-256 algo, so you mine it just like you would bitcoin. There are a few pools listed on the website here:

Looks like we might have had a few rigs come over from EVGA.

Indeed.

Im currently pushing ~1.2 million PPD on my new merge folding name, and ~700k on another name.  Still have a couple more 980s to fire up and a couple cards to repair. This will be a good winter for folding and keeping the house warm. I see some new guys have joined that have a lot more than that. Welcome to the team everyone!

Congratulations guys,

Curecoin team is on third place in the statistics!

Thanks! Its true! Curecoin is now the 3rd most contributed team on the largest research DCN in the world. We are coming up on rank #2 so fast that if we pass them at this difference in speed I am honestly going to feel pretty bad for them, they have done some serious folding for many years!

Congrats to everyone that has every folded with team Curecoin! In a matter of less than 3 years we have hit rank 3. A lot of people on other folding teams thought Curecoin was just going to fade away and they would not have to worry about their titles when we showed up on the scene. To say the least they spent some time eating their words. Its all good though, they are hard working fellow folding teams, they are cool... Team Curecoin is just a little cooler now though  Cheesy

I guess merge folding just turned into the most profitable gpu use since the ETH price explosion is the consensus. I can live with that. It should drive up some research numbers while creating a budget to improve Curecoin currency itself.

Fold for Curecoins and rock science with us, we have cookies and you will get your $$$ curecoins too, and #FKcancer  Grin

A few more updates have been pushed to the curecoin folding pool.

A quick update on profitability since there are no efficient calculators for folding profit on cure / fldc - feel free to make one, Ill give 1000 cure for a good one, 2k for a really good one.

Currently with just 4 cards running 2 of which are the most powerful and liquid cooled drawing 410 watts for the whole system, other machine is using less. I expected to see a lot more after finally hooking up a kill a watt basing my numbers of normal mining and stress testing figures but folding lets the cards run pretty cool. You can overclock a bit but if you OC too much your work unit will get an imperfection and the results become worthless and no credit is awarded.

So 4 cards earned 62 curecoins + FLDC?(not sure how much yet.. just going to save it up as a nice bonus for now). 62 cure @ 6.5 cents = 4.03 USD . At the national average of 12c / kwh the 16.8 kwh I used costs 2.01. So roughly double the cost of electric without even counting the FLDC that has also recently went up in price a substantial amount.

My numbers should be pretty accurate there I am just making a quick post for reference for anyone who is thinking about folding for cure and/or FLDC

Regarding the pools at the Curecoin website:

CryptoPools
United Miners
MinePit
iSpace

Can someone validate that these pools are all up and working?  I've had some luck at CryptoPools, but not able to stay connected, which is probably on my side.
But these other three seem like they are having problems just being online: United Miners, MinePit, iSpace.  One I get a google warning about data not being private.
Are there other pools mining this coin?

Looks like all of the PoW blocks are coming from CryptoPools and 1 solo miner...so I guess the other 3 are defunct.

Would be nice to have a good pool pick this up.  Very limited customer support at Cryptopools and I can't stay connected to it.

Pool is working fine.  If you need support with your particular miner, go to #cryptopools on IRC.  Email is too slow.

This youtube blogger Barnacules Nerdgasm generated an insane amount of PPD with one video:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-6oyuYIA6A8

Like my comment on his video so we can spread curecoin's word. He may end up deleting my post but, whatever, worth a try. Screenshot: http://puu.sh/rrWCg/9f71e11028.png

Thanks.  I appreciate all your patience.  I realize I had a lot of basic questions.  It's been working great for me in the last 18 hours.  I believe
I had to just let the miner run, and not worry that the online interface was showing my miner being offline when it wasn't.  Seems like the
online interface has to do some kind of cycling which gives that impression.

Few days ago I changed my FAH user name of xxxxx_FLDC _....... I see that most have a username xxxxxx_ALL_ ........
What (how much) gives more "ALL"? Everything that applies to "FLDC" (eg Tokenly Pockets) applies to "ALL"?

Thanks  Smiley
