Wallet not set up correctly? wow. Talk about condescending. What exactly is all the magic you did to "set it up correctly"? Cause I basically downloaded mine and opened it. You don't have to be a jerk. Point people to the blockexplorer so at least their question will be "why is the blockchain not moving" instead of "why is MY WALLET not moving". not everyone understands how coins/mining/exchanges work, they just want to make money. Don't belittle them. Educate them. Just my opinion....

8208 blocks download but says catching up?

I guess I will just it leave it like that overnight...

it is due to the fact block 8208 is quit old, generated 2 hour ago.
As soon as a new block will be generated, wallet will be syncronized again.

I think developer should make an update to generate POS blocks more quickly

Please also remember there are almost 1500 posts in the thread. That is a lot to scroll thru and read to catch up. Yes, many answers are a few, or more, pages back, but again, have new info added to the OP or just keep typing the same responses. I can barely keep up and I refresh every 5-10 minutes to keep up! And have been from last night. I STILL don't understand why some people can stake and some cant. i have transactions both more than and less than 1000- confirms and no coins sent anywhere since, yet my and many others wallets insist our coins are not mature. It is valid for others to say they too have that problem. yes there are a lot who ask rudely or dont get it, but i think the majority are not troll questions but real ones.

just wait for the DEV to update the wallet with faster POS times.

Currently if you're out of SYNC it's due to blocks being slow, if next block is found everythink is ok again.

Just need a bit of patience now

Yes, I agree, that is interesting, but did you set server=1 in your conf? This is relevant, because minting is kind of mining and you would also not be able to mine without setting up the wallet as a server.. Not sure if that will be the fix, but if you could answer that would be helpful.

For those of you with trouble staking, do you have more than one receive address?   I'm wondering if there's a bug in the wallet preventing the coins in my wallet from maturing because it is only looking at one address.  May wallet has been open for over 36 hours, unlocked, all coins have over 3000 confirmations, still no staking.  Again, I'm not complaining I haven't received stake, only that the wallet thinks I'm not eligible because coins aren't mature.

I have more than 10 addresses, as I was trying to avoid that richlist, but I have still been able to mint once, and it was from the largest wallet.

For those of us that were here at launch, I just read through the past 15 pages....wtf happened to our thread. For all of the late people coming to this thread, if you don't have the common courtesy to have patience while issues come and go then get of crypto now. It's not perfect, sources need tweaking for every coin including grandpa Bitcoin. Leave this thread if you are just going to complain and whine all day, I can tell many of you are between the age of 16-24. Here's a wake up call for you, when you finally get out of mom and dad's house, the world doesn't give a fuck about what you want, the reality is you are not special, and not entitled to anything in life. You want something? Then contribute to helping solve issues, blockchains are a peer to peer entity many things on your computer are actually the issue, whether it be closed ports, or something else.

Bottom line, grow some patience if you cannot help. If you are having a similar issues to others, simply state "I'm having that issue as well". The dev reads every comment on this thread and has done so every day since before launch. GROW UP!

eeeeexcellent, however I have very strong hope for *new generation* they will take all of this tech to a completely new level... their fathers and mothers (and uncles) working for corporate institutions are semi blocking our developments, but this will change by their doings.. and for that I am extending my respect and I hope they wont destroy planet in the process

and yes. wallet aint synching.. but this is a trivial thing.. main thing is to have coins displayed in Spendable.. rest will be either worked out by dev in a day or two.. or whenever..  eeeeeassssssy this aint solving cure for cancer.. there is a coin for that too..  

and... we dont see this kind of "give me give me give me now" activity on curecoin where people's lives matter.. think about it. you do "give me give me give me now..." here for pure greed purposes.. let's be honest...

On another note:  When I was mining Bitcoins, my wife would ask "what are you doing" and I would reply "Bitcoining dear", she asked me what I was doing this morning, and I said "Syncing", and without missing a beat she said "What are you Syncing about" in a German accent.
