Has anyone been able to withdraw CLAM from Yobit.net in the past 2 months? I've been trying to and it keeps saying "Withdrawal for such currency is temporary off."

I've been trying since mid December or even before... Thought it would be fixed, but it doesnt look like it's going anywhere.  Huh

Anyone knows what's up? Thanks.

I tried and eventually moved some to bleutrade which works just fine. Had same message for weeks and no reply from customer support.

It appears like the "Withdrawal for such currency is temporary off." is part of yobit's business plan. If I were you I'd trade the CLAMS for BTC and then into LTC and get them off of yobit - and never go back there Wink.

I usually use Doge to move coins between exchanges including Yobit. It is way more cheaper.

ok but you lose on currency rates BTC/DOGE BTC/CLAM

guess it doesn't matter really just do not transfer BTC as those fees are rising again.

Here's a question to all those using clamd.
As far as I know, clamd doesn't provide an interactive mode. So, when I want to unlock my wallet for staking or sending CLAM, i have to enter the password in clear text. Something that's not recommended and i wouldn't feel too good about on a VPS. What is the best practice to workaround this issue? I know this is not a CLAM specific issue, however there are some capable individuals here Wink
Thanks!

Honestly speaking I cannot see what is reason for that coin (it is not only one coin without reason, coin just to make one more coin). I am wrong? I am small investor and trader. From trading view looks it is dead. Just imo. ok, good thing is support form POLO.

Something with the fall of bitcoin begins to lose faith in crypto-currencies. Why is this coin so closely related to bitcoin? Has anyone made a long-term investment in it?

Probably because people buy the coin to gamble with and cash out when done gambling.  The casino may sell the coin for bitcoin so that others can buy it to gamble more.  Just a thought.

As for the second question.  Yes, people buy it for an investment in order to stake it for interest.

Not sure if posted before but will post to help others.

Clamcoin Windows 10 client seems to have some bug that prevents it from synching by using the instructions by the post https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=623147.msg9772191#msg9772191

The bug appears if you have your Windows 10 machine connected to the Internet while extracting the bootstrap.dat file. It reaches the maximum of 750 orphaned blocks very soon and just stalls and refuses to continue adding more blocks to synch even though the full height contained by the bootstrap.dat file has not been reached.

Solution to this is to download that full bootstrap.dat file, put it in the same directory as the wallet.dat is and then disconnect from the Internet.

After that reopen the Clamcoin client and let it have a clean block extraction while been cut off from the Internet and no orphan blocks appear.

On OSX there does not seem to be similar orphaned block problem while extracting the bootstrap.dat file while been connected to the Internet and extraction works as expected.

Hello !
I made a withdrawal from CLAM from poloniex to a wallet at CRYPTOPIA, it's been more than 15 days since I NOT received the coins, and neither poloniex nor CRYPTOPIA does not respond to what's happening.
MORE THAN 15 DAYS WITHOUT KNOWING WHERE THERE ARE MY COINS AND NO ANSWER.
I need your help to identify where the error is.
Here is the withdrawal data:
Wallet: xV7fo5iBNxf24RNMx3Azg52PNYjCJZS1zg
Txid: 9c6222a0714769ee91efafe9b4f7c20d0308780a5974c5c2d62bede96118a1c9

Thank you !

That transaction is on the block chain.  Cryptopia hasn't recognized it yet.  That's the party you need to pester.
But was it already to be credited with cryptopia?
The error is in cryptopia?

Error is on Cryptopia... I finally got a hold of one of their reps via facebook.

Cryptopia has credited my deposit finally.

wanted to export my transactions but it'll only do the 1st entry.  Is that due to wallet not being fully sync'd ?

Thanxs.  Am I correct in thinking that in order for export to work, wallet needs to be sync'd?

I'm not sure what you are trying to do exactly. What do you mean by "export my transactions"? What is your goal?

It's a wallet feature under the 'file tab. Right below import. It's only  available when in the transaction window.

To create a csv spreadsheet. Which can also be used as a tax record to calculate basis for capital gains/losses.

Did you ever get an answer?  I'm also struggling with this.  Can only get one line via the Export command in the UI menu and that's incomplete as well.

I had similar problem.  Win 10 as well.  I did the offline block sync but still had issue. I ended up running clam GUI with maxorphanblocks switch to 10,000.
, e.g. 'clam-qt.exe -maxorphanblocks=10000'  This was probably overkill but I was tired of constantly restarting the client and checking the debug logs.  After it finished syncing I restarted the client without that switch.  Interesting to note was that even though I set to 10,0000 (and debug was showing over 1000 orphans at some points), the RAM usage wasn't as significantly impacted as I was thinking it would be.  Actually, just eye-balling it, I didn't notice any difference.

Update/Warning/Plea:

You may recall that I had some CLAM taken from my wallet due to my own stupidity of importing well known private keys into my wallet when I first got into CLAM and then subsequently, many moons later, reusing the CLAM addresses generated from these well known private keys to store CLAM I had purchased.  Eventually someone else imported these same well known private keys into their wallet allowing them to sweep my CLAM off to an address under their control.

This is an update to that situation, a warning to others not to do what I did, and a plea to the person who swept my CLAM to please contact me and return the CLAM.

Here is the entire list of CLAM swept from my wallet:
