bit-exo is going to launch clam at any moment now ( expected to be up in less than 10 hours ) so this maybe will help the coin a little since exo will be the 2nd gambling site to take clams , accept investments and also stake for investors

with the coming days maybe we will see JD holding just 20% of CLAMs or maybe less when more sites and services start taking CLAM, I'm still hoping for a good future but what I'm sure about is that there is no way I would sell at this price

I thought that ALL bitcoin addresses with a positive balance on 12.05.2014 were awarded Clams on the initial distribution.

But there is this address 1Q7CLPAV6Xu1MkqiYdmKBNPrZPU9bZSBHX which HAD a positive Bitcoin balance on 12.05.2014 (a date of Clams distribution) but nevertheless has NOT been awarded Clams.

Just-Dice.com webpage gives their standard response for a new address:
Quote
INFO: BTC address [1Q7CLPAV] was not funded on 12th May 2014; [xXQqEFzx] is the corresponding CLAM address; see [history:1Q7CLPAV] for a history of its balance

I wonder what was the reason that the address in question was NOT awarded Clams. Was it a bug?

Also, I wonder why the JD webpage repeats the bug by saying the address was not funded(?)

FreeBitcoins doesn't think that your address qualifies for CLAMS either:

It isn't on the CLAM explore either:

http://khashier.com/address/xXQqEFzxNFP3Q8wau7PycYgdnVmP2h2j5p

But this is exactly my question! Why is it not on the CLAM explorer?

If you look at https://www.[Suspicious link removed]/pl/btc/address/1Q7CLPAV6Xu1MkqiYdmKBNPrZPU9bZSBHX
it isn't hard to see (there are only 3 transactions to sort through) that the balance was positive on 12.05.2014.

Do you have the private key? If yes, please try to import it using the official wallet and write the results here so we can help
The official wallet obviously would show 0.0 clams, how can it be any different than the CLAM blockchain directly read via khashier.com and 2 other services?

The question of ownership here is irrelevant, we would be speaking about ~4.6 clams worth 12USD anyway.

If I am right, this would be the address that SHOULD be funded but was ommitted.

The right questions to ask are:
1. Why the address in question was excluded?
2. Is it the first known case or rather is it known that it happened in the past too?
3. How many other addresses like there are there in total?
and not: is it your 12USD that is missing Smiley

She's up, but just for testing.  Deposits work, but we are still working on withdraws.  https://games.freebitcoins.com/play

People can play on it now, but the game has to be reset (everything you deposit will be credited back to your account in whole at the "start" of the website)

Game is live now.

I think i found a problem with the pre-release version of clam. A issue has been opened in github, but i replicate here so maybe someone can help me:

I am using clam version v2.0.0.0-RC1 and i got a problem trying to sync blocks:

ERROR: CheckProofOfStake() : INFO: read txPrev failed
WARNING: ProcessBlock(): check proof-of-stake failed for block 83c145021fe99435eb7523a6d7d9b9088456c016036953ea8b442e4a84153687

And now i am stuck in block 2113202 while the older client is way ahead of this one. This may happen with other users of the pre-release version, so a lot of people may be stuck too, or even forked

One thing to try. If you have a funded wallet, try MOVING it to one side and using a fresh empty wallet until the client is fully synced (you probably need to start from 0 again, a bootstrap.dat is useful) and then stop the client and switch back to the funded wallet before restarting. Sometimes a client will attempt to stake before it is fully synced, causing a local (and unfortunately, permanent) hard fork.

Cheers

Supposedly the new version will fix this on Windows, but the programmer has been "stuck" for weeks and waiting on help from dooglus. I hope this resolves soon because my laptop likes to shut itself off randomly (despite all the power saving being turned off) and falls out of sync. I managed to get caught up the last time this happened, but both my laptop and desktop are not syncing up after days and days and multiple short bootstraps.

Well, it looks like it's really time to buy CLAM. I'm sorry, of course, that I now have very little Fiat money to do this.

Just in case I've created a misunderstanding - by "MOVING the wallet aside", I meant moving the file wallet.dat to somewhere safe. The approach should work irrespective of which CLAMS client you are running.

My legacy wallet got synced right now, and just for the sake of testing i will be running the pre-release client in another computer until synced without my wallet.dat. This way, i can be sure it really can sync without staking happening on the background

I have a computer that has never had CLAMs on it, the syncing problem is not caused by staking.
