The wallet release is on track for tonight.
It will be mainnet ready, and have the XNode code in the wallet. It is fully decentralized.
Just to clarify somethings as well - REV2 will have a solution to the bad actor problem. Using a dynamic learning trust system, the wallet will choose the trusted nodes over the bad actor nodes. This also will be tied into the fee system so it will also be incentive based.
I will also be laying out a very high level roadmap of what’s next, what’s coming and long term plans.
As part of this process, I will be putting together a complete business plan, which will be release later this week.
Also if your running an XNODE your 1000 XC's will not stake. There is a feature in the wallet - reserve balance - which basically prevents those coins from staking. Xnodes will need to use this feature so that the coins are available for the Xpool.

Great news.
As I stated in the beginning, a primary focus will be bringing XC to the retail marketplace and putting XC on the Point of Sale/DEBIT/VISA Network... These features will be added to the wallet, and as part of the Mobile Android wallet as well... The mobile wallet will also have NFC support for P2P transfers mobile to mobile... all of this will be in the roadmap coming out tonight Great news! So when the wallet hits tonight I assume there will be a way to independently prove the decentralized anonymous transactions are going through on the blockchain to quiet the trolls?
im sure they will provide a walkthrough on how to send anon, but in case you didnt watch the youtube video, id imagine you just do it that way and check the block explorer to double check that what your transaction details point to are correct. I am planning on doing a video later this evening "XC wallet for noobs" or something. Probably even cut it up and put some pretty words in it? I think it is imperative that this becomes mainstream user friendly, so I will do my best to explain start to finish - including downloading, unzipping, putting in a proper location, Encrypting, backing up, enabling Xnode, etc. That is super cool man  since you are the Official forum video maker I think it would be really helpful a youtube video on how to Install and set up the Wallet in linux, Mint, Ubuntu, at least as I Know that there not videos on youtube on the subject that are clear enough and Noobs with holdings like me will benefit a lot from it Pleaaaaaase I will see what I can do. I keep all my holdings on Windows machines, but run miners on BAMT and PIMP. I know I do also unfortunately for the moment but I don't trust to live them in windows even with a fresh offline OS install and key creation as NSA seems can access all the Windows PCs even if offline. I would rather learn how to install it on linux mint, My comment on the officiality of you a video maker of this forum was a joke off course. Your work is much appreciated but if there is anyone could make a linux XC wallet install and set up that would be really helpful I believe. |

 Just wanted to point out how slow the blocks are moving.  Notice the increasing difficulty. More people bringing their wallets online? Keeping wallets open will help the blocks keep moving. Also, I do not know what the anticipated reward is to be for being an Xnode, but it will most certainly have to be above the 3.33% that normal staking pays considering that the coins reserved for Xnode will not be able to stake. |

Xcloud is sound like web hosting which XC is not. also Xcent is just some hardcore DRK kid want to make fun of XC. I vote to move for a name change. I have two options, both of which relate to key points within the XC development, and basic premise. Ticker will remain XC Drum roll please.... XCent ... Anonymous Transfer Complete This relates to the idea that XCent is relative to money, and immediately catches the eye. The motto shows what this coins about as far as the anonymous transfer protocol is concerned, and accomplishes one of the two main ideas of the coin immediately. XCent would distinguish us from the term 'coin' and set us apart, as does our code. MAESTRO QUEUE MUSIC XClouds; Float FreeThis name insinuates the idea of Mesh networking, and being 100% decentralized; + Blockchain 2.0. Reward for Xnode should be 10% because that is exactly 3 times more than the PoS reward which is a fair reward for giving back to the community (and at risk of being a target for hackers). And its fair to make the reward at least three times PoS because people dont have to do any work for PoS whereas running Xnodes entails management, basic server and firewall management skills and the obvious risk mentioned above. If anyone agrees give me a +1 yo. If I can get 10% then it also means I am less likely to sell away all my coins when the price hits moon  |

I would imagine the reward for xnode would be per transaction - not per year. and if ur a good node doing lots of transactions u prob going to do more then your stakes 3.33% worth in transaction fee rewards |

Screw Visa, they wont work with XC they are a monopoly on monetary transactions just like Mastercard is and then Unionpay in Asia. Unionpay monopolizes most of Asia with the exception of Japan which has mostly Visa and some Mastercard. Mastercard is more prevalent in North and South America whereas Visa which I think is the biggest controls most of Europe and lots of countries that Mastercard has not yet entered too. Visa I think is the biggest player. Though in the main first world countries (I am including China in that since its two worlds in one, rich and poor, 1st and 3rd world) Visa and Mastercard are supported in most places. I found in China Mastercard is only supported in the major cities then smaller cities only support Visa at most major banks then smaller banks only have Unionpay. |
