Dear users, Yet another new version of NiceHash Miner has just been released. The new version 1.2.2.0 brings highly optimized AMD GPU mining for NeoScrypt (up to +300%) and a few bugfixes: https://www.nicehash.com/index.jsp?p=news&id=56Keep on mining! Best regards, NiceHash team About the new optimised kernels: I assume they are precompiled bins as usual, but what about the miner part that runs on cpu? At least for quark some kind of host code is needed, for it to hash that fast. Is that code opensource and merged into sgminer main branch? It's source; mine. Very nice work, Wolf. I see you changed the kernel code so adjacent work-items are accessing adjacent locations in global memory. This increases the cache hits on the reads from mem = quite significant perf increase I sent you 0.02 BTC just for this.

Quark, X11 it does not work Wolf I don't understand what you mean. new optimised kernels Quark, X11 for NiceHash The x11 kernal was not made by wolf0 was it? The wolf0 kernal is only doing 6.5MHASH on the r9 280x. The nicehash kernal is doing 11MHASH@200watt My opensource ccminer kernal is doing 3.6MHASH with oc @ 50watt. on the 750ti. Equal to 14.4MHASH on the r9 280x. 11mHASH i good, but not profitable. The dashminers have private kernals that mines 22MHASH on different hardware and same Watt. AMD users should mine Etherum. Such profit!

First time using this and in altcoin mining can someone be nice enough to give a quick walk through to how i setup my bat file to mine on my own pool?

The mining speed for Ethereum has reduced slowly, due to the bigger DAG file. It will reduce further in the future.

It's source; mine. Exactly. sgminer is more or less unmaintained, but you can find neoscrypt.cl in the kernel folder of sgminer-5.2.1-general in the NiceHash Miner. We prefer to keep all opensource, so you're welcome to reuse it anywhere. And of course Wolf has all the credits for the optimized version (but his work was decently paid by us). Only neoscrypt is opensource. That's because Wolf was generous i assume. The others, Quark, X11, etc are not open source. Pre-compiled Binaries. Ashame, not able to run on unix based systems. That's what I was asking: I wanted to run it on linux and have a look at the host code. bummer :-/ Nicehash, where's the sources to the exe's you pack into NiceHash Miner? The license stipulates it be available at least upon request. Not the bins, but the SGMiner executables. True, I forgot about the gpl for a moment! I want that too!

The sources for sgminer-5.2.1-general are here: https://github.com/nicehash/sgminer/tree/windows. Unfortunately we don't have sources for sgminer-5.1.0-optimized and sgminer-5.1.1-optimized, because kachur never releases his sources. You all know that we are big open source supporters, we are contributing to open source software, we also release our own sw under open source and we support developers as well (made several tips for many developers in the past). Now, regarding this closed-source sgminer that we're redistributing with NHM -> yes, we know that this is not the fully rightful thing to do - but this way we can give the optimized miners to community and anybody can mine on any pool with these miners. Moreover, before we distribute any closed-source miners we always make a full network sniff of the working miner to make sure that no fake-shares, hidden-pool or any other suspicious stuff isn't plugged into the miner. Hopefully that's OK with you folks, that's the best we can do. Keep on mining! Best regards, NiceHash team.

so if there has been no request for it - here it is ... can you supply the code used for the sgminer app that you distribute as closed source software? ...
chrysophylax, please read our previous message on this thread ... if we would have the sources we would of course already supply them ... the developer of the optimized kernels will not release them, unfortunately. Giving you the miners with bins is the best we can do - that's all that we have. Best regards, NiceHash team.

If you are able to top this then post your picture. http://imgur.com/U6lnAFeWith the new sgminer 5.2.1 as just released by NiceHash, I cannot get past 370 kH/s with my 280x's, win 7-64, AMD 15.7.1 drivers and xI=2. Interestingly, xI=4 and xI=3 is lower. rawintensity of 5120 causes too many rejections, What miner are you using to get those results??? Or is there some config line I am missing??? Here is my .conf: { "pools": [ { "name": "WestHash NeoScrypt", "nfactor": "10", "algorithm": "neoscrypt", "url": "stratum+tcp://neoscrypt.usa.nicehash.com:3341", "user": "USER", "pass": "PASSWORD", "extranonce-subscription": true } ], "api-port": "4028", "xintensity": "2", "gpu-engine": "1000", "gpu-fan": "50-85", "gpu-memclock": "1500", "gpu-powertune": "0", "gpu-vddc": "1.10", "worksize": "64", "thread-concurrency": "8192", "temp-cutoff": "90", "temp-overheat": "82", "temp-target": "72", "auto-fan": true, "failover-only": true, "gpu-threads": "2", "gpu-platform": "0", "api-listen": true, "api-allow": "W:127.0.0.1/32", "gpu-reorder": true } p.s. updated

AMD Catalyst 14.9 (driver version 14.501) ls /var/lib/dkms/fglrx/ 14.501.1003 ...... Sgminer options: --thread-concurrency 8192 --xintensity 3 -g 2 --worksize 64 For me newer drivers and newer versions of the miner gives me lower hash rates. P.S. I use another machine with Catalyst 14.6 installed to compile the kernel file (.cl) into a bin-file (neoscryptTahitigw64l8tc8192.bin in this case). Then I distribute this bin file to the miner machines and use it to mine with.
