Bobsurplus: if I go to the south of France, St. Tropez would be like the last place I'd go to (I'm a regular visitor since a couple of years). There are so many places which are way more worth visiting. Ever seen the natural reserve around the Ardèche? One of the most beautiful places in nature I have ever seen. St. Tropez is a joke, compared to that.

I'm in the south of France yearly. I have a place in the mountains in Eze. I travel to Monaco and St Tropez each time I'm there and try to stop by Cannes if I have some extra time. You probably calling St Tropez a joke because you cant even afford a coke cola being that they are around 10 euro a shot at nikky beach. Anyway....

I only have about 25k cloakcoin left (it's weird to refer to that as "only" since at one point it was worth close to 30k) but with all the work and energy i have exhausted into this community (cloakdesk.com whatiscloakcoin.com) i will be holding them long term. It's hard not to lose faith with lack of communication from the dev team. But i still think/hope this coin will be great one day.

Respect for your faith. I have sold all my 4 K yesterday, because this f***ing silence and bad PR. I was one of the biggest fan, but I lose my faith.

It is quite interesting to think that this is pretty much worst case scenario and the coin is still worth 30k.

I started Cloak on day 1, and have no interest in defamation for personal gain. I would only like to point out to Alty that most of his decisions when it comes to PR have been based on the actions he expects from fudders as a result. What he likely fails to realize is that by making decisions based on these fudders, he has helped destroy the earnings made by people invested in Cloak because they believed in it, such as myself. Hopefully in the future Alty realizes that his lack of communication has made decent people lose millions collectively, and as a result decides to start promoting this project consistently. Best of luck Cloakers, I'm gonna go ahead and take my loss now.

Setting a date so early (10th September) was a mistake.

Why did that happen?

This was after discussion with the dev team brought on by the constant demands in the IRC and other channels.

From experience I would of been much more comfortable adding a couple of weeks to that date but stuck to the date we'd talked about as a team.

As a result of this error I'm not going to let it happen again.

When we have something you'll see it and I'll be avoiding the pre-hype that can lead to people dumping on release.

So if you were unsure of deadline..
WHY THE FUCK DID YOU TWEET ABOUT A SURGE ON CLOAK EXPECTED THE NEXT WEEK ON 7 SEPTEMBER SUNDAY WHEN THE "DEADLINE" WAS THE 10th SEPTEMBER.

TO THEN TELL US THAT DEV WAS NOT AROUND FROM FRIDAY THE 5th SEPTEMBER TO THE 10th, WHEN DEADLINE WAS REACHED.

Being unsure is good, taking time to post is good, but don't make hype on something that you are clealy unsure of..

If not here is an explanation :

Alty said on the deadline day (the 10th september I reckon) that his main Dev was not there from friday to tuesday, the release day.
From the 5th september to the 10th.
He also said that the release should take a few more days (which will most likely not happen).
The problem from that is that he made a tweet on sunday the 7th september saying something like : "Expect a surge in cloak coin next week "

From this, price started to go back up, and obviously this was the main trigger of the rise.

So what to learn from it ?
That a fucking low life don't even try to hide the fact that he prolly already knew that developer was away, and used this to make some insider profit.

And if he did not, that tell a lot about their inside communication in the team, so I very doubt he did not know.
Just as he knew before about other problems in previous release.

I don't think it's a scam, but I can only see how they fool people and will prolly keep fooling people for personnal profit until -if ever- release happen.

If ever we get a onemarket, a supposed "true anonymous coin and trustless" before hell freeze over or someone else release all this in another coin.
Perhaps alty is making a new coin also ?
I mean you can expect anything from SCUMBAGS.

I think the Dev did good to stop making promises with dates.

I think the coin has found its bottom and now a few good moves can drive it higher.

Not much is working right now though. POSA went back to square one. Nothing is trustless anymore. OneMarket might be working? Alty did fart in our general direction which is a plus. And now they are trying to sell a non-existing VPN solution.

Please correct me if I am wrong about any of this. I would love to get cloak back to where it was once. I am waiting to throw money at something.
