You really dropped the ball here C

I think you should open source the project and let the community take over, you are proving to be extremely incompetent. You have 0 proof that you haven't abandoned us.

Well he's still here so isn't that proof.  Looks like the main Dev is stuck.  I feel the best options are to open source the project or hire another dev to continue working on the coin to bring it back to life.  There are many talented coin coders out there who would love to ride the CLOAK brand.

it's pretty busy here for a dead or dying coin ....  Grin

Hi Cloakers, we're being pestered by BobSurplus in the Monero threads.  Any advice on dealing with him?   Roll Eyes

Obligatory topical remark:

CLOAK was never truly alive, because it's anonymity/privacy has always been vaporware.

That's why CLOAK's market cap is lower than the three main CryptoNote coins, which already offer real anon.
Bobs last known address is XST.

Did this PoSA every work? I remember reading a tweet of a guy who claimed that he will pay 100k USD if someone is able to track PoSA transactions. Do you know who is that guy?

CLOAK could have been the King of the altcoins ... If it has ever been developped.

THE END

Sad... Because it's true.  If only there was some real development going on that could be seen in wallet then we could have reached scary heights.  Alty you really need to get a new dev there's no excuse for this when so many other alt coins are showing real development.  Please give the project to the community or hire someone who actually gets work done rather than promises.

Update:
"I'm trying my best but it's proving more difficult than I originally imagined".

Not what everyone wants to hear but that is the situation.

Uh oh, the cargo cult isn't going to like this.   Tongue

Real anon is a very hard problem with only one publicly known proven solution: ring signatures.

Don't try to reinvent the wheel.  Start with a XMR/BBR/XDN/BCN CryptoNote codebase and modify it to work with Proof of Stake.

Then the anon comes for free.

DarkNote just implemented anon msg, which may be ideal for OneMarket type stuff.

Have about 46k cloak. Looking for another 14k.  Anyone want to sell at 00015 14k? Outside the exchange?

Bump^ Offer still stands this evening.

Soooo.. Like I said...

I have a feeling that you just need to wait and will be able to pick those up on an exchange.

A month ago I said this

It's in turmoil right now.  I've felt for awhile now that the "true" price is around 30k, but with the dump to 15k I'm personally waiting for a week or two to see where things settle out once Alty is back and things start moving forward again.

At this point, I'm starting to think the coin will see 10k soonish.

10k and lower in sight on Bittrex.  Sort of sad really.  I would hope that would finally be the bottom floor.

This shows you how many greedy dumb fucks are in that Rich List and oh, it's not the first shitcoin that i'm seeing with delusional bagholders staying at the top. People always assume that if some fucks are owning a big percentage of the coins in circulation, they must have privileged info or something, otherwise they would have not invested so much money into a coin.

Anyway, my point is that they got....

The absolute worst people in history, ranked by the wisdom of the crowd: "Vlad the Impaler", "Mihnea the Evil", "Ivan the Terrible" and "Evan the Instaminer".

Really?

Fibrecoin is WAY over priced for what it is.  It's ripe for a massive dump similar to Cloak. Only thing I'd do with that one is try and get some very quick profits out of it to minimize the risk.

Aerocoin is better IMO but right now it's being pumped/hyped a little to get to that 7500 goal after which it will probably be dumped down for a bit.  So at it's current price you could get a little bit of profit out of it but should wait to buy after it drops.  If I'd known it was going to be hyped up to this level, I would have bought at 3000. I had it all setup with alerts and everything but really wasn't paying attention to what was going on so missed when it started going up.

But hey, this is crypto and we all think we have a perfect crystal ball.  lol

TheDagger, this is important.  Do you even have the source code for CLOAK or is it kept hidden from you by the main dev?  From what you've said in the past about him disappearing without notice for a few days it seems like he may be deceiving you.  Either way he has shown he's not capable of doing the job.  Replace his ass.

There is no permanent dev, the guy is outsourcing bits and pieces from various sources. With this kind of approach you can only do very limited things and clearly it is almost impossible to development something substantial. Did you wonder how is this outsourcing financed and why does it make sense to plow the money? Do you really believe that TheDagger lost money on Cloak?

I remember the day when the coin was launched for the first time and then it got postponed because of the problems with the source code. I wonder if loljosh is the actual developer.
