^^^ 9.7 uses the OpenCL drivers from whatever drivers you have installed, 11.2 uses custom assembler binaries I believe.

Also I'd like to know if the new XMR algo is going to be implemented in a timely release?

Same here. I'm hoping to get my miners up and ready before the fork.

It is better to be before 2April to give me more time to test.

I'm facing a very strange issue and need some help please.

I have 2 rights with 5 x RX 470 ea. Both run perfectly stable mining ETH + SIA.

But when I try CryptoNote miner with same OC & Undervolt what happens is that the GPU 0 (first GPU) always has either 0H or 16-20H, all other cards work fine. But eventually the miner will crash because of GPU 0.

If I disable GPU 0, then the same problem happens to GPU 1 and so on.

This happens on both mining rigs so I dont think its a hardware problem.

Any reason why 1st GPU (GPU-0) would always show 0H? And how would I fix this?

Thanks in advance!

try to reduce your clocks, Ethash has different sweetspot on OC settings

Hi all,

Im using the latest release with 6 RX580 cards, all the same models.
For some strange reason with same settings I get different HashRates.
card in slot pci 0 gets hot and lowerst hash, rest seem cooler and more hash.

I changed the Riser cards, nothing to do with the risers or my pc setup.
Must be something with miner :-( sad claymore not responding..

Dunno which other miner to try instead?

Would the miner have to change to support the change in algorithm for XMR? When will be done?

I don't know about you but I'm excited about all the ASICs and botnets getting BTFO.

Are you sure the new PoW algorithm will be botnet unfriendly as well? Where can we find the details of the new algorithm?

^^^ the botnet BTFO is a temporary one as they have to re-tool and deploy their custom mining software while xmr-stak is ready to go for GPU miners.

Hi, I am getting the error dk2an0 failed -4 on all my GPU's.  It mines on 1 or 2 showing a hashrate then fails and restarts miner a short time later. I am using 6 cards, mix of 580/570s.  The rig mines no problem with other miners(sgminer etc) however I want to use Claymore for its tstop feature.  Any ideas?  I have noticed a thread to increase virtual memory but I have it set at 16gb.  Claymore eth miner works fine fyi.

********************solved*******************************

Apparently you need a ton more virtual memory. Upped it to 48gigs and works!

Thanks,

Hey Claymore,

Are you going to support TeraScale/VLIW GPUs again?

Claymore v9.7 is the last version that works with 5xxx/6xxx cards and it doesn't support Monero v7 algo.

I wouldn't mind paying dev fees for an updated version. Smiley

In a few days.

And, please, many people ask for RX550 / Polaris 12 support!

As far as I understand, Polaris 12 is to some extent similar to other Polaris architectures. And, it is very energy efficient. Adding ASM binary for RX550 will give a great boost to low-end miners.

Hi Claymore,
Please tell me will your new miner support new algo for sumocoin, called cryptonigh-heavy?
Thank you forward and keep amd mining alive sir, because nvidia rules right now for most coins and algos.

Issues with Ubuntu 14.04 -

nsgpucnminer: relocation error: /opt/Claymore10/nsgpucnminer: symbol _ZNSt7__cxx1112basic_stringIcSt11char_traitsIcESaIcEEC1EPKcRKS3_, version GLIBCXX_3.4.21 not defined in file libstdc++.so.6 with link time reference

14.04 is older than Jesus. Try running something made this century.

I have an issues with AMD drivers ( 13.12) on my rig (R9 270 and R7 370 cards) on Ubuntu > 14.04 Sad

My words apply again - stop using those insanely old AMD drivers...

Tell AMD to add support for clock control and undervolting in the AMDGPU drivers.
At this point, fglrx is INFINITELY better for R9 and older series cards than their AMDGPU stuff.

Also, tell AMD to SUPPORT THEIR BLOODY APU iGPUs in something newer than fglrx - 2+ years and STILL NO BLEEDING SUPPORT UNDER LINUX FOR APUS on the AMDGPU stack.

I'm no longer legendary just in my own mind!

Hi,

There's no worries, XMR stak now fully works with TeraScale gpus. Me and a couple of other members worked hard to troubleshoot it. Please check https://www.reddit.com/r/MoneroMining/comments/882ogg/summary_and_final_guidepointers_on_how_to/

and comments at https://github.com/fireice-uk/xmr-stak/issues/472

Basically, you need to use 14.4 driver, nothing else works with Stak, and then there are some extra sweet spot intensity settings you can find if you read through what was posted Smiley Result is getting 400 h/s per core of HD 6990 on xmr stak, that is about 800 h/s + per one HD 6990, guaranteed to work with V7 monero algo.

Well, the thing is Claymore v9.7 works fine with 15.7.1 (it actually asks for 15.x Catalyst for maximum performance/compatibility)... it would be nice if the latest Claymore added TeraScale support again. Smiley
