Hi David - sorry, optiminer v212 on ZEC - I misread the thread.

Okay, no worries...  I'm mining ZEC as well with my NVIDIA cards.  No issues at all with them.  Only my 480's and 580's with XMR.

Maybe I can get Cast XMR Miner 0.9.2 AMD GPU going shortly.

There are a lot cryptonight miners around that a much better than Claymore's. So if he doesn't want to continue development - leave 0% fee and exit is a right move!

Hi everyone,

I recently decided to switch all of my AMD rigs from ETH to XMR V7 on nano pool.

All of my R9 380's and R9 390's do fine when using Claymore Cryptonight GPU Miner (Latest Version for the fork).  However, my RX 480's and RX 580's do not work properly.  Only 4 [Sometimes 3] of the 7 cards for each rig mine while the others are 0.0 H/s.  This forces the rig to restart the mining process over and over again 4 times; then the rig shuts down.

I even tried switching from ssl to stratum with same results.

Is this Awesome Miner I'm using doing this or Claymore Cryptonight (latest version) on Awesome Miner?

Again, no issues with the R9 380's and R9 390's.  Only the RX 480's and RX 580's.

If someone happens to know the issue and how to fix it, I would certainly appreciate a point in the right direction.

Take a look about oc settings on RX 480 and 580´s, these cards need more core mv on cryptonight than eth. It depends the core speed youre mining at.

For example, if you normaly mine eth @1180 and undervolt 800-850mV, in cryptonight V7 you need 950mV at least.
This is not meaning more power consumption, whereas cryptonight is less intensive algo than ethash.

Hope it fix your 0Hs problem with these gpus-

Take a look about oc settings on RX 480 and 580´s, these cards need more core mv on cryptonight than eth. It depends the core speed youre mining at.

For example, if you normaly mine eth @1180 and undervolt 800-850mV, in cryptonight V7 you need 950mV at least.
This is not meaning more power consumption, whereas cryptonight is less intensive algo than ethash.

Well, don't kick me in the arss when I tell you this but all of my AMD cards are STOCK.  Absolutely no MSI Afterburner or BIOS mod on the AMD cards.  I have used MSI Afterburner on all my NVIDIA 1080 ti rigs for ZEC to get 700 H/s for each card at 1340 watts for 6 card rigs.  But NOTHING has ever been done to my AMD rigs other than the Blockchain AMD driver update.

I have:
8 x NVIDIA 1080 Ti 6 card rigs - 48 cards
2 x NVIDIA 1070 Ti 6 card rigs - 12 cards
4 x AMD R9 380 6 card rigs - 24 cards
2 x AMD R9 390 6 card rigs - 12 cards
1 x AMD RX 580 7 card rig - 7 cards
4 x AMD R9 Fury 6 card rigs - 24 cards
16 x AMD RX 480 7 card rigs - 112 cards
TOTAL CARDS = 239 cards

I can't get my 480's and 580's to work either.  Only 3 or 4 cards of the 7 card rigs will work then it quits.  R9 380's and R9 390's work fine.

I'm trying Cast XMR Miner now but can only get ONE card to work with it and none of the other cards show up.

Query about shares and hashrate.

I've 2 cards a R9 270x 2GB and a RX 470 4GB, but I get less shares for the RX 470, should I not get a lot more shares with the RX 470, what's going on ?

Here are the figures, mining Stellite (XTL).

Im kinda jealous you are getting 400 amps hahahaha.  Have fun   Btw I just installed an attic gable fan from quietcool, with auto thermostat and 10 speed auto change to extract air from my garage.  I am pretty impressed actually.  although its really expensive its super quiet and moves a lot of air.  For me being quiet is factor number 1.  Good luck in the remodel.  For everyone else here, although there is a fee, may I kindly suggest checking out Zawawa's gateless gate sharp.  Its still in dev but its pretty awesome.  Havent compared speeds with claymore though.

Check previous post , play with -h and -dmem parameter

This version is not so easy to use because you have to adjust "-h" and "-dmem" values often, I will try to improve it soon.
1. "-dmem 1" requires twice more memory, make sure you have enough virtual memory. For example, if you have 6 GPUs 8GB, set virtual memory to 6*8=48GB.
2. Check how much memory miner allocates, it shows something like "(Memory used: 5128MB)", make sure you have this memory on your GPU.
3. You can see low hashrate if you use almost all memory on GPU, try to reduce "-h" value a bit.

Guys if you are getting the "GpuMiner dk2an0 failed" error, be sure to note Claymore's comments above. I was initially getting the same error with my RX480 8GB rig. Lowering to -h 1024 will solve the issue but make the program only see 4GB on my cards. After changing page file to 48GB, the miner runs beautifully with default -h and -dmem settings.

Ellesmere RX480 8GB, same modded BIOS, default miner settings:

i tried to download from mega but it sais i need flash (a very insecure platform) so i tried google drive

google drive said the files was a virus

i found a workaround  you have to copy to your drive then download.

chrome may say it is infected  click keep infected fiile.

it may be because i am using an older version of chrome on osx 10.7.5

the suggestion: you may want to try double zipping or even triple zipping  (file.zip.zip   file.zip.zip.zip)

 password protect the downloads and post the password*



*= i just read on google that password protecting may not work as some programs may be able to see through encryption.

you could pack it in an installer package and encrypt that.
