@estenity. Did we not have someone create a fork of Mymonero wallet? I thought the community had one paid for from the Aeon community fund.

unable to respond to this question.
however Big Slim and leg0las have recently done an answer on this reddit thread:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Aeon/comments/i5uzw1/easy_to_port_mymonero_to_myaeon/

Yes all you need is www api front end and electron wallet does the rest. Someone could have a web wallet running in less than a day if they wanted. I don’t have the capacity to do this right now. Maybe in January.
The block chain is the main innovation of Bitcoin. It is the first distributed timestamping system.

@stoffu @smooth

Can you add to the automated build bot to add 16.04 and 18.04 the build single thread build for validating block explorer builds that are required for onion explorer to properly compile?

Open a ticket in the issue tracker. Maybe I will be able to do so if I find time, or someone else will.

done
https://github.com/aeonix/aeon/issues/196

I do not think anyone is using onion explorer on anything other than 16.04 right now but no way to confirm that. I think 420coupe was using 18.* but not sure

We are moving toward a new release including a hard fork to make some incremental improvements to the difficulty algorithm (in particular, improve its responsiveness to hash rate changes). There are many other bug fixes and improvements committed in GitHub. One notable enhancement will be support for multisig.

Testnet will fork at height 131111

If you are prepared to build your own binaries from GitHub, now would be a good time to give that a try and report any issues.

Is the build validator successfully completing for all 3 os platforms with the latest merge yesterday?

@smooth. in particular, improve its responsiveness to hash rate changes

Is this for protection against 51% attacks?

In any case, many people might not appreciate it, however, mutisig is a very important update for Aeon and very overdue. Thank you.

Not specifically 51% attacks.

Overall it is to deal with situations when hash rate jumps on or off the network and block times deviate a lot. Especially dropping off because when blocks slow down it takes longer to get enough blocks to adjust the difficulty back, sometimes days.

Looks like a point release is needed before the fork. Security patch for locked blocks.
https://github.com/aeonix/aeon/pull/201

I think I have boost 1.68 on minGW since the Msys update server has been down for a while now

New mandatory upgrade release

Chronos update 1 (0.14.1.0)

** There will be a hard fork on block height 1280000 (November 11, 2020) **

This required update addresses a flaw in the handling of Unix time based transaction unlocks.

It must be installed prior to the planned hard fork at block height 1280000 (approximately November 11, 2020).

See release notes for 0.14.0.0 for additional information about the upcoming hard fork and other recent improvements.
