As soon as I heard rummors I moved all coins from them. And didn't look back. But, what's the problem with Hitbtc anyway?

Also, there are much more complaints on HitBTC from their users in the past few weeks. There are many of them that are not recieiving their withdrawals and rumors of an exit scam are in the news.
That's been going on for more than a few weeks I know about the story about HitBTC's selective way of freezing user's cryptocoins, but this is different. It appears that it's occuring more often. It will not be a shock for me if HitBTC is operating a fractional reserve.

Hello dear team of Aeon. I can see you are listed on Bittrex and HitBTC, but there is some lack in volume and liquidity. We’ve a solution: marketmaking service. It will help to gain and maintain trading volume, decrease spread and make your graphs look nice could write me please t.me/agumerov - i will introduce you.

@nailgumerov8. But how much volume can your market service make for Aeon in Bittrex? Also, would it not be considered as market manipulation thinking carefully on how very small the volume of Aeon is?

I emailed HitBTC's relations@ address 14 days ago seeing if they could update their daemons and allow deposits/withdrawals. As I expected, there was zero response. It would be great if someone had a connection there and could forward the message of updating the daemon and getting AEON back in business on HitBTC.

Didn't see on reddit what are the main changes in the next update. Is there a list with them somewhere?

You can see the list of merged upstream commits here: https://github.com/aeonix/aeon/pull/30There are also some minor AEON-specific fixes which you can find by digging through the full commit list: https://github.com/aeonix/aeon/commits/masterThis is primarily a reliability and security update with some small functional improvements.

@smooth. How much bigger is Monero's blockchain versus Aeon's blockchain? I reckon Aeon might be in a better position for the longterm because it is more sustainable to run on dedicated hardware because of the smaller blocks.

Much, much bigger, I don't know the exact numbers but roughly a factor of 10 would be my guess. This is not only from the higher usage but from a enormous size of RingCT transactions until bulletproofs get activated. It was when RingCT was enabled that the blockchain size really exploded (the rate of growth instantly jumped from about 100 MB per month to 1+ GB per month).

Good. We as a community should start asking small exchanges to list Aeon. It is easier to maintain the node, it is anonymous enough and it has made more cautious development decisions compared to that of Monero.
Also, Monero's 6 month hardfork cycle might become dangerous as the coin grows in utility.

Aeon's light block size is a huge advantage for the project I'm working on now.

@LesPristy. The radio wave mesh network project? Do you have working prototypes? Showing a screenshot of them would be appreciated, thank you hehehe.
Also, when is your estimated time of release? I know this might only be your hobby, but give us the worst estimate when.

We, as a community, have applied to many of the smaller exchanges to which only a few listed AEON. Stocks.Exchange wanted a listing fee that was a bit out there. Altex.Exchange had AEON listed but that exchange appears to have possibly exit scammed everyone or its just dead. Bitliber and LetsDoCoinz has AEON listed. If you (or anyone) wants AEON listed anywhere, you are more than welcome to apply. Perhaps as a community, we could meet somewhere (IRC?) and further discuss listings and projects we're doing to advance AEON.

@smooth. Would it have been better if the Aeon community just welcomed and embraced Asics in hindsight? I reckon the community might have acted in too much haste and fear to reject the Asic mining companies, that might bring Aeon to the moon.

@smooth. I would really like to listen to your personal thoughts in this subject matter if it is ok hehehe. I know I might appear to be speaking from greed that Aeon might have already reached $5 if Asics were welcomed with open arms. But I know it would not only be me who would like to see that occur. All of us do.

All of us do. I'm not smooth, but embracing ASICs for cryptonight seems stupid, imo. Cryptonight is very slow to verify using a low-end CPU. If you're going to go to ASIC PoW, you might as well go to one that can be quickly verified using all consumer hardware.
