Congratulations to BTC38 for adding the first fiat link with XEM as their CNY/XEM trading pair.

This is an important milestone as we now have a link between the old economy and the new.

Congratulations. What will be the next fiat? Maybe on another exchange?

Think it's a good time for zaif to add XEM Smiley

Sorry I thought you meant "how much it costs?". I misread, but for those that didn't, they are definitely slapping themselves.

I missed out on the freebies. I think I paid the equivalent of $20 in BTC for a stake. At the time you could claim two. I wonder what I was thinking that particular day. The original plan was to blatantly milk it for more BTC but that's changed. I think it's going to head to some interesting places.

hi guys,
I want to use the lightwallet. It asks for a few things:
1. wallet name
2. account address
3. private key
4. password

i know 2 en 4.
I have a wallet file like: london.wlt.
is the wallet name the same as london? and is there a way to retreive the private key from the wallet file?

thanks in advance

I bought and stashed a few XEM last year, can't remember exactly when. I have name.adb and name.wlt, as well as the password I used when creating the wallet. I do not have the private key. When I run the client, it sees the wallet, but when I type the password it tells me:

"Oops!

ERROR 123

NIS: ADDRESS BOOK COULD NOT BE READ"

Is all lost?

The filename doesn't contain any spaces or special chars does it ?
Where did you keep those files ?

No special characters or spaces, no. I stashed the files on a USB drive. I'd assumed in my apparent ignorance that I could retrieve the private keys just (like with pretty much all other alts) by saving the encrypted wallet files and the password. I have those, just not the private keys unencrypted, and the current wallet won't open my files.
Doomed, right?

Not having the private key any more is a big fail :/
Aside from that, are you sure the password is correct? Are the two files (name.adb and name.wlt) in the correct location?
Yeah seems that I fail. Shame. Yes the files are in the correct location, the wallet just throws out this "ADDRESS BOOK COULD NOT BE READ" error when I try to open it. I have my password and the relevant files, but my private keys it seems can only be decrypted by apparently now long-gone software. Gutted tbh.

Folks,
I just got phone call from friend of mine whom I helped to participating in Xem.
She said there is 0 balance on her address submitted succesfully for NEM redemption phase March last year. I remeber that everything went ok - she received 2250000NEM's - that was last May/June when I checked her address and said her: all ok, you got your stake.
Today, after conversation I went to XEMblockchain and saw 0 balance and no trace of initial stake transaction from...

Anyone to explain this fact?

It's quite personal as her initial address was generated on my computer... Smiley

At least post the public address so we can see.

this is her address NBSNX4-UYEXVZ-JUKM6N-BSDVTB-A2TDWW-HIOCFJ-2S6J

strange as it shows 0 and no trace of initial 2250000 income - anyone can help?

If she really did successfully claim - and at this point this will be hard to verify cuz I don't think anyone still has those data laying around - then she may have been identified as sock puppet.

Obviously, if she was identified as sockpuppet then it was wrong assumption. BTW - how it was possibl;e to remove data from XEM blockchain?  Is it that really easy to do?
I ask her to contact with you, as probably she no longer trust me... Smiley

A long time ago I purchased 3.5 NEMstake on Nxt AE. I definitely purchased these before the infamous 'deadline'. How can I redeem my stake?

The deadline was for redeeming not for purchasing. If you did redeem it then your stakes should have been created in the genesis block, otherwise I'm afraid there is nothing anyone can do about it. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong.

NEM is no longer an "extremely" undervalued coin.
Now, NEM is just a "slightly" undervalued coin.
Still undervalued.
And it will take a fair position soon.
The most pleasant thing to me is the day I can get an silver coin is coming near.
It will be my family treasure. Grin

wow 3.5x steak? that's about 25btc down the drain.

Never mind we've all lost more than that at one point in crypto.

How long should a NEM/XEM transaction take from the lightweight client

Trying one now and it just sort of sits there.

I quit the client and the transaction disappeared.

what is the "due" field for?
