set it to link on my wan, lan and even wwan its getting packets from the internet but still no mining Did you check that your Antminer IP is now within the IP range supported by your router? It's unclear what do you mean by 'set it to link' - if it's like the S1 you don't need to 'link' the WAN with the LAN or the WWAN (I never touch the LAN or WWAN, and the S1 guides have some instructions that the LAN and WAN cannot be on the same IP segment). Are you sure that you entered your pool information 100% correctly? (made a small typo in the rush to setup my first S1, it took a few minutes of stress to find the slight error and fix it). Maybe you should reset it to factory defaults and start all over again. Cheers

Correct. They've added a few options, but setup is the same. If you've turned up an S1 you'll feel right at home.

General questions about the S3 now that mine have been hashing for a few hours...
1) Why in the name of all that's holy does it randomly beep? Every now and then it just goes "BEEEEEP!" It's not like it's rebooting... it just decides to let everyone know, "Hey, I'm here! Pay attention to me!" 2) I know the "o" in the miner status means "OK" and that "x" means "error". What does "-" mean?
General comments:
1) At stock clocks it hashes almost exactly to spec on p2pool (my local node). Initially it was around 450GH/s, but after settling down and going for a few hours now, it's about 439GH/s. 2) Overclocking it has far less effect on p2pool than on another pool. For example, at 250, I get about 455GH/s on p2pool. I get 500GH/s elsewhere with the same settings.
The beep is internet connection lost or failed to get work. It will retry to get work or listen for the internet connection up to a point. If it keeps hashing then its doing what its supposed too. The config now allows you to turn it off if it is really annoying. I think the beeping has to do with hw error's. Even with option beeper ringing = false, it still beeps every time i get a hardware error.

So I need some help here peoples. I do fly in fly out work with a 3 week on roster. So im going to be away from home when the miners arrive. My girl is home but is absolutely computer illiterate. I have setup the power supply ready for when they arrive with labelling for which cables go where so she can just plug them in. But as far as setting it up goes would i be able to setup the miners remotely with teamviewer with another computer set up at home? Reading about the S1 seems the internet has to be disconnected and then connect the compter directly to the miner. Is this true with the s3 do you think? Does anyone have any ideas how I could set up the miners remotely? Thanks If you put two NIC's in your PC you can preconfigure one to talk to the miner (with crossover cable) and leave the other one to connect to your network. Then all she has to do initially is power the miner and plug it into the crossover cable. You can then remote in and configure it. If you set the IP as the last bit of configuration, she can then just change the ethernet cable to put it on your main network. Unfortunately I don't have another network card Does your computer have wifi and a hardwired NIC you can do the same thing suggested here? Nar I use one of my GPU rigs for a computer and that is wired directly into the router (well through a switch first) I have set the missus up with printed screenshots etc of what she needs to do. Find out Monday how we go Dang! Now she get's HALF !!! Miners arrived early yay. And guess what, the missus knew exactly what to do just as I had told her. Good girl. Am having an issue though. Im only hashing at 412GH with one and 420GH with the other. Really hope they can be overclocked safely longer term
