Hmm interesting. 41 days... Couldn't wait that long. I bit the bullet and lost potential stake of around 1.6 k HYP with several 250 block inputs and just consolidated them into a 4.1 k block. I hope through my constant investing and staking I should be able to recoup for lost time The blocks were approaching the 30 day mark and gave up lol

I have coins that have coin age of over 90 days that haven't staked yet.
What size? I had some really old ones that I just bit the bullet on and recombined into larger blocks. Demand for HYP blocks is so high some people are sitting with pretty large blocks that haven't staked yet.

I think with HYP versus other high PoS coins, it pays to check for fresh broken blocks every day and recombine them if they are outside of your target range.

edit: replaced 3.5K with 4K. Decimals are harder to market and 4k will have most people not doing any research hit the wall, which will educate them - that's the point of HyperLoan. Plus jokes about Ultra HD - I let you be creative here.

Maybe in an upcoming wallet version the coin control is simplified. Remove the "send" portion. Just check the boxes and maybe click a combine button and the wallet will re-stake at the new number. No more spending and ending up with residual .0001 coins that need to be mathematically recombined. Just my 2 HypCents.
the primary use of coin control is to allow you to select coins that you want to send (to exchange, to someone else, merchant) you would want to send coins first that are from small piles or lower coin age you would not want to send coins using big piles or high coin age which are good to stake therefore i do not agreed to remove the "send" button but maybe adding a "combine" button for staking might not be a bad idea you should not be ending up with residual .00001 coins when sending using coin control first select the coins you want then right-click on the amount "after fee:" click on "copy after fee" paste it on the "amount" field

With the new diff, I'd bet it would be longer. I'm curious. I'm going to send one coin to an address. I'll post it up here, and we'll see how long it takes to stake 036bd31c77edb3dbfd9cdc5014dce24a84bca22c3bb5915afafabd87cd8cf0c5-000 TX ID, and address for those who are curious: pSTdDBKzCH1wqsRTTpkDY8rtAXyFqYwKG4 Let's see how that rolls. With the rising diff, I'm going to guess between 60 and 70 days. That's based on my gut and nothing scientific

That's based on my gut and nothing scientific Since staking is random, it might be the most beneficial to throw 100 or so blocks to the same address and then see the average time to stake. Or else it is similar to a polling group calling one person. I would be happy to send some inputs to that wallet for you if you agree to it?

Presently the diff is about 1.9. An hour ago it was 1.7 and 3 hrs. ago it was 2.5.
Is this much variations common or normal? Without knowing anything it seems strange.

Copy and paste this into your terminal wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/zeewolfik/raspberrypi/master/hyperstake/install_binaries.sh && chmod +x install_binaries.sh && ./install_binaries.sh Also make sure you update your pi. Do you have all the libbost because there are quite a few make sure you have openssl also.

It is quite indeed. Varying weight and difficulty is with wallets going offline all the time. As the network ages and more distribution is achieved, I expect it to be more stable.

Thats a good explanation and a good solution. I am currently staking with my pi 24/7 to try and do NY bit to secure the network
