My first rig testruns. Everything will be moved to a new location tomorrow.
65Gh/s more firepower will arrive within a week or so Smiley

I hope there are some fans around there which were removed just for the photo's. For the lazy, it's ~275 watts.

How about digging it in oil? :p

ROI in 1000 years?
Nah, i hope to shorten that with my blade miners.

Thanks Smiley

Cooling is not a problem with two 400mm fans.

I'm dying to know how much fiat OR btc you dropped onto these?  What maybe I'm seeing that others aren't is the rig to the left with GPUs....If you've been doing this since like 2010 then you'd have the spare coin to buy up those in an array fashion like that (not where you'd be spending 10s of thousands of dollars for that if you decided to just jump in on these back in June as a newcomer)....but for that number of eruptors (i counted 121 I could be wrong) thats just over 40 GHs...how do you even administer something of that scale?  Do you have to spend like a few hours if you were to point your BE array elsewhere?

I count 110 Block Erupters. The absolute cheapest price I've ever seen them is 0.24BTC, which is 26BTC, and that doesn't even cover the cost of those crazy expensive USB hubs, which I would guess add on another 3-4BTC.

I'm sorry, but you can buy a used 60GH/s Single for that price, and it will use prolly right around the same power consumption.

There's WAY more blinky green lights on 110 Erupters than on a Single, though.  Blinky green lights are where it's at.

Nice!!!!
Can you show me where do you point your thermometer to?
I have one of those, but I get different readings across the heat sink at about 3cm from it.

My goal for this Christmas will be to get a tree and decorate it with AM USB eruptors that have extenders coming out of the USB hubs to make it look like Christmas lights.  It will be the first ever hashing tree!  Pics to come

I have not been mining anything earlier.

Lets sort out how i think about this Smiley

I have some other projects beside my fulltime job. Some of the money i put in my bitcoin project is money that i already have earned in on other things. I am not desperate to make brake even on this on short time basis. I wait for five blade miners that will brake even way much faster than the USB rig itself.  I see all my hashing power that this rig gives me as bounus power when i will buy a mini rig later on. In the end it will all go positive in the money question if nothing really drastic happends with bitcoin itself.

I have 105 USB Eruptors right now and i run them all on one Asus Rampage III Extreme mobo. they produce 35175mh/s rock solid. Administration ? They just run without any administration. I mine at bitminter and they have a really good minerprogram. I just watch the coins hitting my wallet Wink

I have to ask. EfterlysT How much did that all cost?

Its purdy!
USB Rig costed around 5000usd including Eruptors, hubs, express shipping on everything around the globe.

Tell me where to buy a 60gh/s machine that is in stock and i will do it Wink I dont like paying for stuff that does not even exist yest. The never ending Butterflylabs story, nah i think i will pass. I will invest in a mini rig later on when i can buy them in stock.

I said you could buy a used one. I know all too well of BFLs delay issues, but you can buy a 60GH/s Single from people right here on the forums for the same price as your 110 BEs.

And you can have all the blinkey green lights you want, as long as I'm hashing twice as fast as you.

Yeah no. Using a used Single makes it even worse. It's used. The inside electronics have been downgraded because if intensive use. It will break more quickly.

It's like hiring a hooker. If you are the first ever, it's great. But it gets worse after every costumer she had.

i dont think you understand how microchips work....or how sex works.....lol
