With a "tear in my eye," I have finally replaced my once BTC/LTC GPU machines with some decent ASIC technology. Need to do some cable management to remove a lot of the old wiring, but needed to get this system up and running/debugged in a hurry. Currently running 2 TAV Redhash miners (w/ 1200W Thermaltake Gold-Series PSU's) and a gutted 4U case full of Overclocked Block Erupters. There is a dedicated fanless box-PC connected to the router/firewall to help manage the system through Teamviewer wherever I am at, even on my phone! Sorry the rear view picture isn't that great, my rack light just broke {awesome images} What server rack is that? Awesome setup btw

Bitcoin Setup (For Now) ≈ 12.62 GH/s ============================ Litecoin Setup (For Now) ≈ 7,905 KH/s ============================= ============================= As you can see, I have a bitcoin and litecoin rig setup, but my litecoin rig is earning more than the bitcoin rig...... I have higher hope for litecoin than bitcoin due to the fact that everyone with much higher hashrate are taking most of the bitcoin network.

Was from a leftover project at work they didn't need anymore. Has a monitor, KVM switch, keyboard tray and a customer Power switch panel. There is still a lot of rework to do as I want to add another 200GHash or so. I have 40A of power tapped off of a 3-Phase power junction. Running everything on 220VAC.

Pics or it didn't happen I wish I had such hash rates, but the only thing I can do is dream. Does any of that fancy shit even ROI? I hope so...

I finally brought the Jalapeños home (had them at work for the first few months) and set them up with my GPUs on a headless, diskless (only storage is a 16GB USB flashstick) mining rig. The motherboard, processor, and memory are castoffs I had on hand: a 3-GHz Pentium 4 on an Intel D945GNT with 3 GB of DDR2 (IIRC). In addition to the Jalapeños for SHA-256 mining, it has a 6870 and a 7750 for scrypt mining. A Seasonic SSR-550RM sits behind the Jalapeños. The next photo is from an intermediate step in setting up the rig, without all the mining hardware plugged in (just the 6870 and one Jalapeño, off-frame): Since I don't have a network jack close by, it's using a USB WiFi dongle. I might replace that with a PCI WiFi card. The flashstick doesn't show up, but it's plugged in underneath the WiFi dongle. Patriot Autobahn flashsticks barely stick out of the port when they're plugged in. For software, it's running Gentoo Linux. Two instances each of cgminer and CryptoSwitcher mine the most profitable SHA-256 coin and scrypt coin. I intend to make up a frame with some aluminum extrusions to hold the motherboard, GPUs, and power supply. The Jalapeños (and the Bitfury miner that should arrive later this month) I'm thinking can just sit on one or two shelves. I'm thinking that when this happens, the rig will get moved out from under the bar and onto its own little rack of some sort.

I'd be more concerned about the potential fire hazard. An old mobo running on a painted box could go anytime.

Note sure if the heat is good for the wine ... Heat rises...besides, I'm a beer drinker. In any case, it's not a permanent setup. I just wanted to get the GPUs out of the room they were in previously; that room was getting unbearably warm. Might just yank the GPUs altogether once the Bitfury hardware arrives; it'd lower my electric bill a fair bit. (A Raspberry Pi is bundled with it...wonder if I could have it handle the BFL hardware too, since the Bitfury is connected to it through the GPIO port.)
