Why not use a RasPi? Can run 24/7 on less power and uses UTP/Linux...
My actual rig is is written up here. Though the blade has been replaced by 2 rockminers. Those rockminers have been sitting idle for 4 months TL;DR: The RasPi has only 256MB or RAM. That is not really enough to run a full Bitcoin/P2Pool/namecoin node. Together those use at least 1.2GB of RAM on my machine. I am also not sure of the CPU capabilities of the RasPi. Lately P2Pool has been using 40% of one core. I am interested in replacing that machine with something a little less power-hungry though. I am also going to need moar disk-space soon too. I have only 10GiB left on a 50GiB partition (left 4GiB for swap, 4GiB slack (because: SSD is "not for server use")) Good point, in your setup a RasPi would not make sense... But for Firewire2013 (using the standalone S3's) who uses the laptop for remote access only... I would recommend a RasPi... (Cheaper, runs 27/7 on Linux).

6x 1.4 TH/S PRISMA = 8.4 TH/S mining farm
You make 49 dollar a day i calculated, is that correct? How'd you calculate $49 a day from 8.4 TH/s? I get about $17-$18 a day plugging in conservative numbers into https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/calculatorYou use a different calculator, or am I missing something obvious?

Yes, I see it now, thanks for that. $5.17 Net...man that really friggin' sucks for 8.4 TH/s. I remember when having just a single TH/s was a big deal.

Could save some electricity charge if the power supply fancy LED lights are kept off.
All those LED lights spend less than a 1% of electricity involved, in fact real number is probably even < 0.1%. Next to nothing would be gained by turning them off.

I prefer LED turned off as each LED is about 1 watt and the total farm would take 20-30 watts which is still a burden when it come to ROI...

Seriously? 20w is maybe $2/month- definitely not breaking the bank, and looms pretty. Most led power supplies do have a switch for the lights though

20 watts over a year is almost $60 here in Australia so yes, lights and bezels etc are wasteful if your electricity is expensive...

Calculate the consumption of all the power supplies on the picture and you'll see that my estimation of LED's spending < 0.1% of all that electricity has to be correct.

Instead of sheet metal, you could also use cement sheeting. May even find some metal sheet roofing at your local tip or hardware store.

A friend also mentioned your local car junk yard, you can likely pick up sound deadening material that is really really fire proof. He used it for a generator enclosure.
Look forward to more pics!

I use aluminium sheet to reduce the noise (it is also 100% fire proof), just need to make sure it have good support so it doesn't make loud sounds especially when wind blow on it...

How about fiber duct board, about $35 per 1" or 1 1/2" thick,10ft long x 4ft wide sheet http://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=duct+board&tag=mh0b-20&index=aps&hvadid=3527193553&ref=pd_sl_35nb1bona5_pDidn't see it at Home Depot or Lowes, just small pieces for mixing boxes Local A/C supply houses sell the sheets,United Refrigeration Inc. usually sells to walkin customers,on the phone all will say "Gotta be a contactor to buy from us".So just walk in & see if ya get lucky

People is not the leds, its the setup that the financial problem. My calculations made it clear there is almost on income a day. In best cace a view dollars a day. Edit:This is the calculation Whit this setup you make around two dollars depending of the cost KiloWatt.
