Yes, I got latest walllet updat v0.7.4.1-g-9-g23ef1a4-beta.
Synced the hole blockchain but the wallet says "catching up", downloaded 1600291 blocks of transaction history. Last received block was generated 12 hour(s) ago.
What is happening?

difficulty is so high right now, that blocks are not been found, check the block stats on this poolhttp://utc14.yacoin.club/index.php?page=statistics&action=blocks

without new blocks, there's nothing to sync!

Stake minting is also fubar. 5 of 6 confirmations after more than 24 hours. Ties up coins that can't be moved.

You'll never know what you're living for until you know what you're willing to die for.
Never look back, something might be gaining on you.

Same here, wallet is up to date, 1600293 blocks of transaction history. Last received block was generated 12 minute(s) ago. Stake minting enabled, expected time to earn reward is 1 second(s), but not even getting any stakes/orphans. I have 5 active connections to ultra coin network, must be more than 5 right?

The difficulty is still increasing even after 17 hours between the last two blocks.

If you graph the difficulty - its still heading towards the stars

but on the bright side the increase is linear - not in an exponential phase

in other words the rate of increase is constant - not accelerating

It was exponential until about block 1600280

Possible that its trying to counter the low diff we had earlier. (many blocks insterted)
I wonder what `gethashespersec` is wallet returning now.

I wonder what `gethashespersec` is wallet returning now.

Now that you mention it, that would also explain the incredible report of 12Mh/s network speed. The bug in diff adjustment would keep the diff low but the hashrate estimation would still think that the diff was high, reporting the hashrate that would have been needed to have the 3 blk/s rate with the difficulty that should have been set instead of the one actually set.
Now the hashrate is slowly decreasing, but the amount of found blocks in 3 days still pushes the diff up.
Now, this is the hard part: for 2-3 days, the block rate was around 40x or more the normal rate.
That means that it would take around at least 2x40 days to balance the amount of blocks found, and so the diff to normalize...
That's not nice at all :/

Good news!

Difficulty has turned the corner and is decreasing............

Just how fast it will come down is the question? - and will it over-correct at the bottom?

The last version of wallet [UltraCoin version v0.7.4.1-9-g23ef1a4-beta (2015-11-09 07:50:49 -0800)] has terminated with no (visible) reason.
The previous one works very stable under heavy load.

That's what I've found in debug.log

Hi folks,

I think the last few comments are a little confusing for us folk...
The fact that the difficulty is decreasing again, that sounds good...is it?
Then Alenevaa mentioned that the wallet has stopped? That sounds bad!
I had a stake arrived this morning, just after midnight...how does this tie in with wallet stopping?

Who is sorting out the issues, do we know?

Cheers,

Roister...

Yes it is!

I just run wallet again and it's working. So it's not so big issue. But it's the first time when wallet has been terminated.

We'll have to see how it behaves after dropping to normal levels, but it's wonderfully happy that diff is already decreasing!

Lets mine guys!!!

This is what it needs - not enough hash to get too many blocks at present.

I salute Meebo though for sticking with it when everyone else went AWOL on alenevaa's pool - for a reward of perhaps 5 UTC per block (every day or so).

Difficulty definitely coming down - 0.3248 and rate increasing

Last 50 Blocks Found
Block   Validity   Finder   Time                              Difficulty

1600290      meebo   11/10/2015 23:51:53       0.3663

Next difficulty after 1 blocks will be about 0.2  from a look at the graph (pool not reporting correctly I think)

and the wallets are staking (1 conf.) - it will take a few days to get 6 confirmations I reckon..........

Est. Next Difficulty Change in 1 Blocks
Next difficulty after 1 blocks will be about 0.2  from a look at the graph (pool not reporting correctly I think)

Let's shed some light on that!

The pool uses simple linear calculation:

Est. Next Difficulty = pow(2,16) * difficulty / networkhashps

where difficulty and networkhashps are reported by wallet:

 ultracoind getmininginfo
{
    "blocks" : 1600296,
    "currentblocksize" : 1459,
    "currentblocktx" : 2,
    "difficulty" : 0.32480856,
    "errors" : "",
    "generate" : false,
    "genproclimit" : -1,
    "hashespersec" : 0,
    "networkhashps" : 1335778,
    "pooledtx" : 2,
    "testnet" : false,
    "Nfactor" : 14,
    "N" : 32768,
    "powreward" : 0.01000000
}

What wallet is 'saying' that pool is 'displaying'

PS: As you can see, powreward also very far from actual =10 UTC  Smiley
