+1

Great job!

I am also happy to donate 0.1 BTC again.

Regards,
Janus

Great news Steven - and of course I will be happy to donate again to support UTC at the exhibition (but BTC only - I'm not parting with any of my precious little UTC's).

Cheers usukan

Management Announcement

Hello ladies & gentlemen of the Ultracoin community, I am proud to announce that Ultracoin is eligible to attend The North American Bitcoin Conference this January, which is being held at the Fillmore Theatre in South Beach, Miami, FL. The conference is a beehive for Bitcoin and cryptocurrency enthusiasts, entrepreneurs and miners, with over 1,500 attendee's looking to converge on the conference this year. Ultracoin has the unique opportunity to be one of the few, if not the only alternative currency to Bitcoin to attend the conference as an exhibitor this year. The Ultracoin team has been able to raise the $2,500 for the exhibitor fee from supporting investors, and thanks to the conference being native to South Florida, the team will be able to travel to the conference with no airfare and negligible hotel costs. This means less overhead and more streamlined exposure for Ultracoin and the Ultracoin community, as well as the businesses that support it. TNABC is another opportunity to make Ultracoin extremely disruptive in the alternative currency scene, boost our status as a serious competing currency and open up the door to exciting business and technological opportunities.

The conference itself is on the cutting edge of cryptocurrency philosophy, innovation and politics. The NABC is going to be showcasing the voice of popular industry leaders such as Paul Vernon of Cryptsy, which happens to be the highest volume Ultracoin exchange. Tony Gallippi, the CEO of bitpay, a leader in bringing instantly liquidable Bitcoin payment processing to small and large businesses such as Overstock and Dell. Jeffrey Tucker, a political theorist and CEO of liberty.me, as well as a leader in the libertarian movement. Several Bitcoin core developers as well as many other big names will also be in attendance. The conference has historically been covered by reporters from the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, The Chicago Tribune, The Miami Herald and Gizmodo. So far this year Forbes, the Cointelegraph and several others are confirmed to be covering the conference, but others are sure to confirm closer to the event. Ultracoin has a huge opportunity to present itself this year in the light of such an extraordinary event.

Although the original costs are covered, any extra donations will go towards t-shirts, marketing material, banners, flyers, and other hand outs, as well as a press release and other advertisements leading up to the exhibition. These extra funds will help us create a much larger impact then simply being present at the conference alone. According to attendee's and vendors at our last conference, Hasher's United, we have the best designed logo's and t-shirts in the industry, so the t-shirts do make an impact! We are currently taking donations in BTC and UTC, if you donate more than $20 worth of funds, you will receive a free Ultracoin t-shirt; if you donated towards the last conference your t-shirt will be on the way soon.

Please send a PM to rapture333 or e-mail to Steven@Ultracoin.net with your TXID, name, address and amount donated to receive a t-shirt.

DEVELOPMENT UPDATE

Behind the scenes we are working on some new developments with the Ultracoin wallet. In this much needed overhaul, there will be a ton of improvements over the old wallet including bug fixes, CPU and memory leak fixes, wallet and staking lag fixes, and other added features that will help secure the network. Perhaps one of the most exciting circumstances of this update, is the possibility that an iOS and Android wallet may now be possible with the new lowered resource demands of the software. This means that your iPhone or Android device may soon be dawning the Ultracoin wallet if developments are successful.

The website re-design mock up has been completed and we are moving into the coding phase of the site for launch. This new version of the website will be streamlined and modern, featuring our new logo and smoother navigation.

Other services are set to launch very soon and I will be releasing more updates as our launch dates solidfy, so stay tuned.

Best regards,

Again a very great opportunity for Ultracoin, this time to attend at The North American Bitcoin Conference this January, and also a great progress to see the new upcoming developments with the Ultracoin wallet and a ton of improvements over the old wallet.

The only thing that should happen now is that Ultracoin expand into the top 15 of Coinmarketcap and that worldwide investors and traders will notice Ultracoin more and more, appreciate Ultracoin higher and will pick it up as their new solid and precious investment.
The rest will follow automatically after that.

So let's all be realistic and proud, a altcoin (UTC) that’s now more than 10 months “old” and is still in the top 30 of Coinmarketcap, a coin that has a strong community and a serious and dedicated hardworking management team can only be a winning coin and a coin that’s here to stay.

A coin that’s here for the long haul !
A coin with a bright future !

Welcome to Ultracoin !
Welcome to the future …!

Warm regards,
Paul.

No mining UTC for me today, such high diff!

As a UK miner there are currently more sensible directions to point my rigs in.  I'm a hobby miner who normally sells a little (to contribute to electric costs) and keeps a little to speculate (because i believe a coin has a future).  Based on todays diff the price would need to double, at least to reach abreak even. Which means I'd get more UTC if I exchanged fiat (that I'd normally spend on electric) and purchased UTC on an exchange or mined another coin and purchased UTC with the proceeds.

It has been a fun 3/4 months mining UTC, I have enjoyed the ride so far, I'll just keep hold of my bags for now and hope the price increases to a point where UK mining becomes viable again & I can increase my UTC stash!

Big up to Kracko for the superb pools......apart from the odd outage, everything is rock solid with very few rejects. Thanks.

I guess I am not the only one seeing this weird difficulty.
Have you seen this:
Block          Finder            Time          Actual Shares
855728    unknown    12/04/2014 12:59:25    0
855727    unknown    12/04/2014 12:59:02    0
855726    unknown    12/04/2014 12:58:35    0
855725    unknown    12/04/2014 12:58:35    0
855732    unknown    12/04/2014 13:01:56    0
855731    unknown    12/04/2014 13:01:47    0
855742    unknown    12/04/2014 13:07:46    0
855739    unknown    12/04/2014 13:07:46    0

This has been going for a few days at ultrablockparty
This are real blocks, there are hundreds of them and they all point to:
Udy7KcixihH49FguNhB3XM7yKAhofyfiwS

THIS is definitely not normal!!!
If the displayed info is correct, and I read it correctly while we mine the hard blocks, some unknown entity is mining 0 diff. blocks!!!

I just spoke with Kracko on the issue, that address is the pool address. Those are real miners, but the pay out is being redirected through the pool.

We know its the pools address, but how do you explain the 0 shares, and the weirdly jumping up and down difficulty?

If it is 0 shares, how do I get my share, how do you know who mined what. This is impossible!!!
There are no 0 share blocks in the other pools!

Don't try to belittle the problem!

The blockfind cron runs once a minute.  It is very possible to find 2-3 blocks in that span and they will look like that until it updates.  There is nothing wrong with the pool.

But it is statistically not possible to have 3-4 less than 1 second blocks one after the other.
And this repeating itself over and over again!

Further more can you explain the more then double difficulty for a few seconds, than normal again.
How do you explain the increase in the networks Hashrate....

It looks like the clock time on the server is waaaaay off, that's what is messing with the difficulty. It might be what is causing the abnormalities. It may be your best bet to switch to utc.tumblingblock.com, utc2.tumblingblock.com, or http://utc.hashhot.com/ and keep checking back until we can get the server side issues ironed out.

We had this issue before on a smaller scale, I am contacting the server host now to work on getting the issue resolved. I sincerely apologize if this has effected your mining operations.
