Hi together
I am mining Burst now for some month and sometimes I read up here, that some people do not understand why people dont mine the coin. On my sight it is to complicate to set up for mining. If you are a normal user like me it takes a long time to understand the coin and set it up. Also there is only one documentation in german. I am thinking of writing a GUI for the whole setup and get a website online for the german users as well as the english. I do not know at the moment if anyone else sees the problem in the setup-difficulty and if its possible to write such a programm to make setup easy. Any meanings for such a program? Any meanings what should be integrated in a Burst-make-public-Website ?

Hello and welcome. You are not the only one. Some other coins its a breeze. I was thinking this same thing today while I was setting up a new computer to mine. I had issues with the DB. So I had to redownload the entire blockchain again. Which only took like 16 hours. Anyways, I agree with you for a coin like this there should be an install and run. Which I know is doable. However this is not how it is. Even with some other coins you still have to run command lines and setup .bat files. And make sure you have compatible hardware. Burst doesnt really need compatible hardware just the setup for the wallet and to download the blockchain. run the built in plotter and mine. This can and should be automated as it will help new users in the long run and maybe get new miners that dont want to deal with it. If you make a gui or the alike let me know. I would be glad to lend a hand in my spare time. However I have loads on my plate now. Glad you are mining. We need more in Burst.

Ok I`ve been very busy lately, and I added 0.01 BTC to the capital of INCOME, however the profit still didn't grew much. We have a very bad year start in casino gambling across all casinos lately. I am still developing the new bitcoin earning method, and I tell you folks it's not easy to earn BTC anymore. Now due to the lack of profits, I will postpone the divident payout a little bit more, sorry for inconvenience, but the profits are very small in this session. In the meantime I will work hard to create a side-income to become more self-sufficient and rely less on 3rd party income. So stay tuned for more updates.

I just ordered 16TB more diskspace. Speedfan (with its nice s.m.a.r.t. investigation tool) reports i have a 2TB and a 3TB drive having degraded stability so i better get them out of operation bf they actually fail.
BURST chain strength grows a bit more when i get the new disks operational, i intend to add at least 8TB BURST plots from the new disks, after rearranging stuff.
This will be the first time i actually use the seagate 8TB archive drives for plots, will let you know if i run into any issues. My only bad experience with these drives are that they tend to go dead for an extended period of time, if you throw too much data (100+GB) at them too quickly ( file copy of large files on a very fast PC ) They should be fine for BURST plots i guess, as that is read only once the plotting has been done. When i'm finished i should be solo mining more than 68TB - i was expecting a faster buildup last few months, but work got super crazy so no time to do stuff.

It is great to see someone give its full support to the BURST network. 68TB is a ton of space for the mining operation, but it does generate a huge sum of BURST. I am very curious of what will happen to BURST once all the coins are mined, and maybe once they are completely mined the price will rise. Just my thoughts.

dont know why should i switch.
Some guys make a new thread for the coin. none of them are able to develop the coin ahead, because none of them know how to. so nothing is better than staying here....
I dont see any advantage in a new thread.....

Yes, i noticed there is a new self-moderated burst thread (thanks for the hint, missed that big upper case red letters) ... Don't get me wrong, no offense, but i don't want to be 'moderated' and i don't think this thread will be locked. Anyway ... lot of action in burst network ... over 10PB today https://bchain.info/BURST/graph/large, nice. But i fear we have a Winner again, congratulations ... This is just insane, someone missing a truckload of hard drives?!

This is just insane, someone missing a truckload of hard drives?! I have 4.4PB so total network size is 8.8 PB actually. No need to panic, in fact I welcome you guys to get more hashpower. But, you will need to pump the price, there's no other way, miners need incentive. I know, now you all expect a 51% attack as I promised, but for $40 extra a day, I couldn't care less. Maybe I'll do it for a day just as a proof of concept, but my point is: pump the price, so that more people can afford mining it, then I will no longer have 50%. If so, everybody involved in BURST will win.
