Update: Saturday, 2nd May 2015

Get Synchronized With The New Bootstrap!

With the release of our new and improved ShadowCore client yesterday, we now introduce to you our new and improved bootstrap file, which under tests has shown to get your new ShadowCore client completely synchronized in just a few hours!

Info: https://github.com/dasourced/bootstrap-shadow/
Instructions: http://shadowcash.info/x/MAAV

*Bootstrapping is the preferred way to get your ShadowCore client synchronized because the client will validate the blocks for extra security against the network.

Speed Up The Process By Downloading The Blockchain

However for those of you who do not wish to wait you can alternatively “cheat” by downloading blockchain.zip and extracting the contents ("blk0001.dat" and "txleveldb") to your “ShadowCoin” data directory (overwriting the existing "blk0001.dat" file and "txleveldb" directory). If you don’t know where to find your data directory, please refer to the wiki: here. This method should have you synchronized in under 10 minutes. The blockchain.zip has been created from the above bootstrap.dat file.

*If you are already synchronized, there is no harm in using either of these methods above, as this will give you a "clean" blockchain, which will further help new wallets synchronize quicker.

Have a great weekend,
The Shadow Team

For users looking for both the bootstrap and the blockchain download.

Yeah i can see how you would misunderstand "Bootstrap sync faster"
[/quote]

Bootstrap in my world is a software package for making websites OR software loading automatically at boot up of a system, hence boot-strapped.  And its listed under Documentation on the website.  I must be taking crazy pills to have overlooked that.   Roll Eyes

Is it just me, or does the wallet consumes less memory after the fork?
Seems like for me it dropped almost ~50 %

Yeah, I dropped from about ~500 MB to 260 MB (@elementaryOS, dunno how on much my Win7).

+1 on Android and overall, it's great. I'm glad that wasn't just a coincidence :]

Greetings boys.
I need some nodes. Only 2 connection to network.

Those nodes are good, we are aware of an issue which if you are behind NAT and do not have a peer.dat file (i.e. new installation) then the number of peers available is between 2 and 4.
If you can compile from source, the fix is already on the github; if not we will be releasing the new wallets tomorrow after some final testing.

All intentional, part of the wider picture for Shadow and key to new releases such as ShadowGo (Android etc)
You should see sub 500-600MB difference from my tests...
