monero has the potential for a 10x increase from now, look at etherium, the same thinh is likely to happen with XMR. Still my losses hurt.

The move to .0075 was quick and didn't last very long and most had realized that it was not a sell zone and those who did were distributing from a larger personal stash *and* they still came out ahead. It wasn't exactly like they were losing.

The bigger picture is that during the next rise due to GUI etc, it will be a much tougher task for the pumpers as there will be a lot of roadblocks and heavy selling and 0.03 will never be achieved. You never know when a 200K just starts making his move. I have not traded much at all but I see the advantage of dumping...
Dumping on the right time will save you tons of money. Now it's to late for dumping i guess, i will just hold my coins now and slowly buy up more. Patience can pay off, i bought way to early and that has costed me some money.

persistence is all

thats what so many people don't get. After 2.5 years, Monero is still here.

How many coins have come, gone, or never come into existence in that time?

Just to point out that anyone that has listened to me has never lost a cent. Tongue

But anyone that did what you did has no XMR  Tongue

Another clear cut case of do as I say, not as I do   Cheesy

Not really, I stated the correct time to get back in ($1.37).

I just wasn't able to at the time.

That is very sad for monero, the price is really falling, every day there is a big price fall back, if this continues I do not know anymore what will happen with monero, will it even become worthless if this crisis continues?

I hope I have not seen it rise abruptly when the next thing will happen is just a big fall back.

Not looking good. Wouldn't want to be in XMR at this time. Sell and wait for the bottom, then buy back.

You know how you know when its the bottom right? It's the moment you capitulate and sell despite being a bull.

This is to a large extent a fear game, i would reckomend moving your funds from poloniex to your wallet now. Don't sell now no matter how dark it looks. Sometimes with investments the best strategy is to not do anything at all, you are not as smart as you think.

I have still 65% of my money left to invest, i will buy XMR in small portions now and HOLD

I got 2 of my bids filled. Thank you.
Still have 1 more bid waiting, and considering adding 1-5 more bids so that people can get rid of their Moneros. I have some empty space in my bags.

Be realistic.

Oasis is totally unimportant in the DDW. Alphabay supports monero but the acceptance is low atm.
No more markets are using Monero.

Even more unimportant than oasis. Not even listed at deepdotweb. When this market is still there in 2 years and used than we can talk about it.

or the market is rejecting the idea of it as a viable coin.  I think its the latter.

"Viable" in terms of what? Trading profitability? Usability as a store of value or medium of exchange?

Please explain, because it otherwise just seems like you're talking your book.

My opinion is that, despite what many speculators pretend to think, markets have no such authority to make assertions on "viability."

Yeah, I'm talking my book because I love seeing low prices...I don't do leveraged trade and wouldn't even know how to short something...I buy low and sell high....that's it.

This is a market and as I keep saying it doesn't matter what 'the truth' is, its what the madding crowd decides.  Much like democracy and the saying "the electorate is never wrong", you can't evade what the majority think, however much you disagree with it or believe they are wrong.  Price is the ultimate vote.

Clearly you are the one who can't read and think.
First I already posted that reddit post of this market yesterday here and second was my point that only alphabay is the one and only important market who accept monero and where xmr is still not used much.

So there is plenty of room to grow still.
I would be more scared in investing and buying more coins if the market had already saturated because that's exactly the point the 10 X profits are less likely.

You must factor in that some of the larger BTC Whales are XMR Whales too.

And for those who are not, the hour is getting late.  Soon it will not be possible to become a Monero whale.  The club doors are already beginning to swing shut.

Where has your post gone where you said we were at your buy zone at 0.018?

I was just wondering where is your stop loss at.

Stop loss is for margin traders. It does not suit long term investing.

I'm liking the price right now, didn't think it would be back down to this level - a few of my speculative buy orders were fulfilled overnight. =) Just waiting for some funds to be ready to set a few more buy orders up =)

That assertion is false, and Monero's rise is a perfect example for you. The DNMs didn't adopt Monero because the price went up. Monero's price went up because the DNM's adopted it. The masses are the sheep that follow the knowledge workers of the economy. They want to ride the train, but they're not the ones running it. Their "vote" decides nothing, because at the end of the day they will shut up and accept whatever is available.

I am a little frustrated that i went out of btc before the price dropped below 0.012, not sure if i will get another chance. Prediction prices short term is almost impossible. I will transfer xmr to my wallet(on a linux machine and backed up) soon, that will prevent me from selling, the real profits is made from long term holding.

This is 100% true, the stupid masses will buy xmr when the price has gone up at least 10x from this level. I hate myself over not buying xmr earlier but that's life, there is still a lot of potential upwards and now i know that xmr is a good future investments(previously i had doubts).
