Got this to compile on Linux first try, so cheers to that. But my hashrate is still a fraction of what other people with the same GPU are reporting. I thought there might be a 10% difference, but a 50% difference? Granted I haven't overclocked or tweaked any settings, but still.

did a quick search, didn't find much relevant to this:

Suddenly when I run ccminer 2.0 for lbry or lyra2rev2 both of my rigs exhibit a behavior where they will instantly power down. Its not power related, they are on separate circuits, have been running zcash mining 24/7 for several weeks.

Intermittently, usually within 5 seconds to a few minutes there will be instant power off. Using CUDA and gtx 1080's and gtx 1080tis in separate rigs.

There's nothing in event viewer after the fact, and the shutdown is not a blue screen - instant power cut (and subsequently reboots due to BIOS reboot on power loss).

Has anyone else experienced this before? Its crazy, and only ccminer does this. I've tried 1.85 as well, different nvidia driver versions (382.53 newest atm). Super weird.

NOTE: It really isn't power related - I'm nowhere near limits of current / temperature. One of the crashes did take longer than usual, and I was able to get a windows 10 kernel MEMORY.DMP. I'm almost certain its an nvidia driver fault.

I'm having a very similar problem using ccminer 2.0 on Ubuntu 16.04. Mining LBRY works fine, however lyra2v2 causes a reboot either after less than an hour or instantly. I have a 750W PSU with only one 1080 Ti hooked up to it with stock settings. Mining LBRY takes 250W, which is 100% TDP, so I doubt lyra2v2 is using more power. Also no splitters are being used. It is hooked directly into the PSU with one 8-pin and one 6-pin connector.

This sounds like what I'm encountering as well... Try a different intensity setting. Also, my performance seems to degrade when Linux goes to sleep/puts on a screensaver.

Look into the eyes.

Thanks for the link.  One day I'm going to learn how to compile in windows.  Linux is easy enough so long as I can find all the library files.

Can someone help me in regards to mining using a single GPU only (so I could use my other GPU for other things)? How to disable the other GPU (using ccminer/2.0)?

Did a google search (couldn't do a forum search, since it's temporarily disabled) and nothing came up.

Update:
use the -d parameter

-d 0 (only mine with the first device.

-d 0,5 (only mine with the first and the 6th device)
Thank you so much for the help Smiley
You're a lifesaver.

Hello everyone! I've been using alexis miner for a while and it gave me 1300 k/h on my gtx 1070 for neoscrypt Cool. Few days ago I bought two 1080 ti, and I find out that they do only 550 k/h with alexis miner. When I switch to tpruvot ccminer 2.0 I start getting 1000 k/h for 1070s and 1600 k/h for 1080ti. Is there any way to fix this abnormally low 1080 ti hash rate for alexis miner?  Huh

I would just stick w/ tprovot for the 1080ti and alexis for the 1070.   not all miners are optimized for all card.

1080 and 1080ti have problems with like half the algos for Nvidia, which is why most people don't buy them.

I buy private Nvidia miners. Send information and/or inquiries to my PM box.

I wouldn't say so, neoscrypt mining is the only problem I got, every other algos doing just fine with 1.7x-1.9x of 1070s hashrate.

The 1080ti is not good in the memory algos like ethereum and monero. Ethereum is the largest minable coin right now.
