Very Interesting information about which is the BEST POOL:

http://organofcorti.blogspot.com/?view=flipcard

Go to the 3rd one:  February 14th 2016 Mining Pool Statistics and scroll down to the charts Past Week, 4 weeks, 26weeks, 52 weeks.
That data is such a minor snippet though- February 7th-through February 13th (not even a full week). How is 6 days worth of mining relevant to performance anywhere? Need at least one whole months worth of data to gather what is really happening currently. Case in point, BC monster solved one block february 6th and one february 15th,  Im sure even more for the bigger pools as well.

February 7th through 13th is a full week.  Feb 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13.  7 days.  And as stated in the post:  Scroll down and the very next chart is 1 month, then 6 months, and 12 months.

RIP BTC Guild, April 2011 - June 2015

Why did the difficulty suddenly jump up? I thought it increased on a schedule.
Does it ever decrease or only continue to increase?

Thanks for any insight!

From a newbie. Smiley

After a certain amount of blocks are found the difficulty increases. We reached that limit. Now it will be about another two weeks before the next increase.

Thank you for the reply.
In the mean time I Googled it and found the answer.
It increases after every 2016 blocks are mined.

So the next rise in difficulty should be in approximately 2 weeks.

That's it. It's roughly 2 weeks. There are Blockchain stats on websites somewhere which give you approximate days left etc.

Thank you for the reply.
In the mean time I Googled it and found the answer.
It adjusts after every 2016 blocks are mined.

So the next adjustment in difficulty should be in approximately 2 weeks.

Just a small correction.

Looks more like a small drop in difficulty.

I wouldn't mind some sanity in the coming months.

Current shift does have a high reject ratio. Everything looks normal (to me) though, including latency communicating with servers. Could possibly be some part of the net lagging. I'll switch servers around a bit and see if it helps.

Ok no problem. I'm only a small fish in the pool but just pointing it out.  Wink

That'll be nice.  Im getting fed up with these loooooong gaps between blocks. Although waking up to a double whammy this morning was nice.

We should all rent a PedaHash or 2 from NiceHash at once and shake out another BTC.

Anyone in?
