Something up with the pool? All my miners went offline and to backups.
No. Check your internet. Weird. It happened from 3 different colocations and my home miners, so it's not my internet. Was up and down a bunch of times over a 30 minute period, like it couldn't re-aquire the proper vardiffs. Went back to normal after I posted my question though. LOL |

DE node just spat the dummy though.
Sorry about that, had to restart it to get it to reconnect to the main pool.
Everyone on DE will have failed over.
It's back OK now.
Edit: the cause was a network issue with linode, but it wouldn't reconnect without me giving it a kick.

No they aren't competing. Edit: though I'll point out the obvious about competing - if you ran 2 pools that pooled the rewards, competing doesn't matter. You can't ever get 2 block rewards at the same height, and getting one of two means you lost nothing. |

TY. Was just wondering about that. I haven't used the other pools and don't need to, but still was curious how you had them connected.
Must be some crazy fast direct connection between the different nodes, eh?

... and I had to kick it again 10 minutes ago ... and as I was typing it disconnected again now. I've raised a ticket with linode about 10 minutes ago ... awaiting a response ... Edit: Meh - still no response from them. Anyway - all is OK again for the last half an hour and the DE node is back up to it's usual 2PHs so all seems OK now. |

Cant delete just gotta let them expire and go inactive as it only shows active workers for last 7 days.

I'm curious... I heard a rumor on tradingview.com troll box that p2pool just mined the first block of bitcoin classic. Are we voting during some kind of soft fork process right now or what? |

ckdb restart shortly - doing it early this time to try avoid the problems it's been causing lately.
... and -ck added something to ckpool so if ckdb restart does cause problems I can resolve it without restarting ckpool.
Restart will be within the next minute - since it (normally) doesn't affect miners and the sooner, the less the chance of it affecting them.
CKDB restart completed - all good, no miners affected  |

Unless I see major support for any changes, I'll not be even looking into changing anything, A block size increase it explicitly to our (kano.is and solo.ckpool.org) advantage coz of how fast we process blocks and how well we distribute them. If anything comes clear in the dark muddy waters of soft/hard forks of core then I'll discuss it. Until then, it's just another alt-coin of BTC ... like that other complete waste of time last year ... |

when you have as much traffic as kano does on his servers you have to sometimes reboot them to clear memory issues on the server
as well as code upgrades for his database / proxy settings and everything else ...
almost all the time that a restart happens its for the better of the pool

Like he said most code wont take effect till the server/services is restarted or the application itself is restarted. This prevent unwanted changes from going live instantly that could impact the server. Sometime a restart is done as well to sync mutiple servers when they are aet up in an always on configuration. |
