Eh a bit slow on the block front.  Not unprecedented at all.  It happens.  Lady luck is fickle.

Longer term as Phil mentions all of the time and the pool still far outclasses the rest out there!

Patience is key.

Is the payment for the longest block also overdue, since besides the above, I still have this one missing :

something interesting from Andreas for all the home miners that have become discouraged recently:

1/ 100,000 x increase in performance from CPU to ASIC created exponential centralization in bitcoin mining

2/ Once we got to 16nm ASICs, the exponential performance increase is over. Now Moore's law is "slow" by comparison, 2 x every 18 mo.

3/ The halving will be the last straw wiping out anyone not at or near Moore's law optimum efficiency/density. One upgrade cycle from parity

4/ After which, mining centralization may stop or even reverse itself. Operating risk, power risk, become bigger factors

Consistent pool payment is critical to a pool's success as we don't want to be watch dogging it and trust that it simply works and will be on time like your paycheck.  If you're supposed to get paid on Friday, will you be pissed off if the check arrive on Tuesday?  I know that Kano is working on it and he said expect delays of about 10-12hrs which have pass, hence our queries.  For most it's maybe small money, for some of us it can be hundreds or thousands that is being delay.

@The Dreamer - You have 1 block more than mine so it's really 3.  You can't count unmatured blocks.  =)

That's weird...I received payments for 402505, 402347, and 402342 that came after 402133.  Of course, I never got payment for block #401842 that made it to Coinbase but not into my wallet (along with several others here as well).  No replies from Coinbase yet on that one.

I have a case opened with them. They have escalated and asked me to provide my wallet address (again) and the amount. They are looking into it. I have since moved my kano.is payments to a personal wallet.

There's a bit of confusion with payments at the moment. Not everyone seems to have been paid for the same blocks but I'm sure Kano will fix the issue ...

Hi guys,

I know this question is out of place but this is a place where I feel comfortable and enjoy learning what I can.

I've been trying to learn more about blockchain by playing with my linux bitcoin core node and the bitcoin-cli command.

I keep hearing about mempool and how poeple are spamming blocks with low value transactions.  I don't see a handy
command for seeing the size of the mempool or the number of transactions waiting to be put into a block.  I would appreciate
an example command for this.

I would also like to list my recent transactions to be sure they match up with kano's block payouts.  I could easily go to that
machine and look at the GUI, but I want to learn how to use the command line stuff.

Does anyone know of a good tutorial for using bitcoin-cli?  I've read lots of books but need some hands on.

Thanks,

Tom

Same here, most seem to be in same boat but like others have said, Kano has stated he was working on the payments, code changes, calculations from log data etc.. so I have no doubt that he will get us back to normal as soon as he can
