Has Kano explained why it is necessary to withhold 75btc in payouts to work on the code? Maybe I missed that part, but I have to ask. This has never been the case before.  Some of us can't mine without our pay or we would keep calm and mine on. Months of making something out of nothing is turning into a loss from the lack of incoming payments...
According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

I wonder where in the development pipeline the automated/once-per-day payment system is?  Seems to me like that system would be very beneficial about now and would help alleviate many people's concerns.

I believe he is checking on certain miners not mining correctly and therefore getting paid more than they should in the past. Maybe a block withholding scenario? I am speculating based on his comments.  Huh

I have all the data now, just working on getting it into the DB, then I can run a few stats with a lot more data to check on a few miners ...
Then I'll send the outstanding ones ... possibly with a miner or two removed Tongue

Eh a bit slow on the block front.  Not unprecedented at all.  It happens.  Lady luck is fickle.

Longer term as Phil mentions all of the time and the pool still far outclasses the rest out there!

Patience is key.

Well take a look at the 500 block avg.. It was bound to go down.. Like i said their is statistics to this.. Kano can go on all day about it being random.. But you guys were "DUE" a bad stretch.. and a long time coming.>   Seems to me that this pool has reached capacity.. the devs don't want to come off any btc to pay for help to get the problems worked out.. I mean hell the mem leak has been going on now for years.  Since day one!.. Yea yea ill get to it he says.. Im sure this will be deleted by our almighty site mods or kano himself but that doesn't mean the problems don't still exist.> Just like btc we have to keep the problems hidden.. What a joke..  Btc is doomed by the very people who tout to say they want the best for it..   I love how any other day kano would be right on top of it.. Well he has over 500 btc so he needs to start spending it on security.  Just like slush they all want to do whats minimal.> Not to mention the competition aspect of life in general will be what ruins crypto.. I mean look at how many great minds are here that all think that their coin is the best.  Imagine a world that worked together not against each other .. What we can achieve with a system based off cooperation not competition.. Sooner we all come to this realization the better off we all will be.  I dream of the day that all of the crypto space comes together to actually create something great.. But i wont be holding my breath.    Please take some time from your busy lives and watch this video.  https://youtu.be/PTYWzufUAJM?t=13m10s

Best Regards
Doug..

Edit regards to zachm.. well if slush would have fucking come with the info that i put myself out their to get.. then we would have a better scope of this problem.> But we all know its a server issue just like al the pools.. Btc wasnt meant to be centralized.. The moreso you do the more problems you have.. Get it?

well be interested to hear kano explanation of this.. Slush wasnt so forthcoming

edit you guys do realize that the way the current pool is setup if something happens to kano. your payments are done.  Id say its of utmost importance to not have that be manual..> But kano does like his control;)

yep it has been credited to my account. Thanks for posting the heads up

This was for 401983 - it was sent out by Kano right away. It was Coinbase that "misplaced" it?

I didn't get any emails from Coinbase but I just checked and the payment from 401842 analpaper.n is in there!  Yay!  That's the first positive thing I've seen all day!

Edit:  Well, there were the 3 blocks waiting for me at breakfast...that was very positive!  Grin

The last post I remember seeing from Kano, it was 0200 his time and he hadn't gotten any sleep, and he was giving some info on the coding changes he needed to do...and it seemed somewhat deep. I'm not worried.

To infinity and beyond...on two 741s and one of only 3...nope, make that 4...full nodes in Hawaii...on <30A. (I have other gear on the Hoth ice planet)

Hence why this needs to be automated and not dependent on just 1 person (backup person needed)  .  Unfortunately with the recent poor luck combined with really delayed payout, it's causing a lot of people to pull away from the pool.   I get many inquiries on the same topic and many people including my partners wants to pull out.  We do give Kano a lot of props hence the extra patience, but there needs to be better updates or process.  It's also healthier for us to be voice out issues and concerns so everyone can be in sync as well as give Kano an opportunity to address the issue, rather than just say, it will be fine, just mine on.  I know those of you who rents, Yall can't mine on as there is no payments and the recent poor luck most likely wipe out all if not most of your initial capitals.
