Heh...perhaps. I gotta laugh over it. No one's "fault," just the usual shipping/customs/logistics brouhaha. They've been good, and soon as I can scrape together the coin for an S9 I'll send it there. This is an exciting time to be "into" BTC...

To infinity and beyond...on two 741s and one of only 3...nope, make that 4...full nodes in Hawaii...on <30A. (I have other gear on the Hoth ice planet)

S-9 total = 0.03165647   a long way from 8.1
if I remember correctly, you have free solar electricity but only half reward due to sharing it. do you think you will ROI those expensive unit ?

certainly i think i will or i would not have purchased 4 units

I can mine these for more then a year with no risk of power cost.

If coins crash to 400  almost most all miners will shut off other then s-9s

at the ½ ing an s-7 at 400 a coin and 8 cent power loses money

so for the 1200ph pre s-9  gear to keep mining it needs  a price of 700 with 7 cent power.

so a huge amount of gear is going to fall if we drop back down to 400 a coin.

at 500 a coin  all gear older then the s-9 needs 9 cent power for a small profit

at 600 a coin all gear older then the s-9 needs 11 cent  power for a tiny profit

lastly  at 700 a coin all gear older then the s-9  needs  12 cent power for a tiny profit.

So  1200ph  gear is ready to be dead with a drop to 350-400 a coin.

Bitmaintech public shows more then 40,000 coins in one address.

All we need a big sell off and coin drop and diff will tank this is a profit move for s-9 owners.

the other side is coins go to the moon  a fiat profit move for s-9 owners.

the bad for the s-9 owners is stable coin at 650-750 usd

If CN decides to keep wealth stored in BTC like they have been doing last month or so, and CN remains economically unstable then BTC will stay north of 750, potential stick around 900 post 1/2'ing. Just my thoughts on the recent moves.....

PS. I decided to hold on to my S7's and Avalons past 1/2'ing to see where we land and the higher prices, as long as they hold make them profitable for a longer timeframe. I'll be looking to acquire S9's but will wait for batch 5-6.

Any way to get larger payouts instead of so many small ones. I'm using coinbase and worried so many transactions will unnecessarily trigger financial reporting stuff. I tried blockchain.info but they charge close to 10% fee?Huh I will try poloniex next but it would be nice to have it solved here.

Thanks

I am singing to that tune.... ebony... ivory... singing in perfect harmony....

I am glad that our pool somehow managed to charge forward, with or without the big irons.

The massive red blocks will always be there but our green blocks pushing our 100-block average to 110% is amazing!

Well the main issue is the wallet.
I don't really want a pool wallet with a day's worth of spendable coins (currently can be on occasion $100k or more) waiting to be sent at some later 'payout time'
I keep the wallet balance low by sending each block when it matures +101 - unless I'm asleep Smiley

Also, I can only join payouts by delaying the ones ready to be sent i.e. join them with later payouts when they come due. So that means delaying payouts more.

The pool payouts are normally direct from the block transaction to the miners, so it's clear where the BTC is going for almost everything (but the 'dust' balance from each block)

I was also thinking of having the option to allow miners to join their payouts (but only their payouts) in a transaction and send that to the pool (maybe once a month) but that poses problems about stopping people from producing transactions for other reasons.

It's still in my undecided basket.

No need in changing to larger payouts, Coinbase is regulated and reports all transactions.  They are good to make the transaction from $ to BTC and BTC to $ at 1%, but do not keep money there.  They also only hold 5% in BTC and 95% Privately; that means that if there is a rush to exchange they only maintain 5% in exchangeable funds and would not take a loss, just like the banks.

Use GreenBits for great security or Airbitz for ease of use.

In my opinion, for security reasons and also kano.is is not a bank... payment needs to be executed frequently and avoid a Mt Gox scenario.

On the other hand, this financial reporting activity in Coinbase, I reckon has something to do with US looking to tax mining revenue - even if you change to another platform other than Coinbase, I am sure US tax authority will sooner or later catch up..... so in other words... resistance is futile... (Borg?)

Why use someone else's wallet? Use your own on Bitcoin Core. It's free. Then worry about transferring larger amounts when you want/need to an exchange.

On november 7 - 2014 we got our reward (block 328928) and for 1 year 8 months this pool has preformed awesome. I would like to thank Kano and CK for making this all posiible, writing and maintaining this awesome software and the time and effort keeping this pool runnning. Thank you so much.
