I guess the hash rate drop could be related to the IP address I blocked.
I'm working on the luck report to give me a little more idea about miner source rate changes.
Basically so that for each luck stat, it includes hash rates over recent time ranges.

But anyway, a hash rate drop should only mean an increase in variance for miners, and hopefully in this case, a little less of the less than average luck we've seen come and go since around halving.

Was it one specific miner/user?

Ditto on that. I noticed as well, and figured as much, and again feel fortunate to be here.

EDIT: I posted after the other one...I'm not concerned about who it was.

To infinity and beyond...on two 741s and one of only 3...nope, make that 4...full nodes in Hawaii...on <30A. (I have other gear on the Hoth ice planet)

Heh Smiley
Well I actually run a luck report every single time I process a set of payouts.
Though coz I do that, I come up with additions to the luck report every so often Smiley
This current change is to actually code the base report into CKDB rather than the SQL that takes now almost an hour to run the 2 separate types of reports (but that change is depending on other changes I'm doing now to allow that)

Looks like it's back - and wasn't related to that IP block at all.

jeez -- the dust haven't even settled yet - and Bitmain releasing new 8.6TH & 845watt miner - the R4 - with a "rotary fan" like an AC to reduce sound and promises a miner silent enough for home mining...

I hope Avalon can speed up their A7 launch - any has further info on this.

I wrote to them but not respond yet.

I prefer to spread my eggs in two or more baskets.

If I provided you good and useful info or just a smile to your day, consider sending me merit points to further validate this Bitcointalk account ~ useful for future account recovery...

I have never owned an Avalon, but I'm willing to go for an A7 if they are reasonably priced and have a decent hash rate. I'm really hoping to get away from BMan. Still waiting to find out if they will send me a new hash board for one of my S9's and a BB Black board from the same miner. It sucks having an expensive miner in parts and pieces on the table not working!  Tongue

I'm still waiting for the second A6, but this first one is producing extremely close to the S7s, with less noise, and it cost less. Uses 1.1KW v. 1.4.

Also awaiting...the R4 does not excite me. We'll see.

Sorry for OT, but does the Avalon require a PC for a controller? I know you were having issues getting one setup a few days ago. Hopefully an A7 can be standalone as I don't want to shell out any more cash for another PC or Raspberry (never owned a Pi).

Back on topic. This is a long network block. It would be nice for us to snag it!!!!  Grin
