i got fucked bad by 5nd 4 days at 192 for ZERO payout and it previous shifts only paid once...
i lost over $3000 that I would have made at Slush

And every post gets deleted...
becasue
these lying fucks hate the truth

I feel your pain ... but truth is my miners at Kano were making more than my miners on Slush until the dreaded 500% block of doom.

Hence my moving of miners to reduce my personal income variance.

That 500% block had no effect over the long term results here...if you look at the last 500 blocks we still earned more here at Kano than anywhere else.  It's all about the long game.  Anyone who knows anything about bitcoin mining knows that.  Those who are looking for instant gratification are simply in the wrong game.
"Your bitcoin is secured in a way that is physically impossible for others to access, no matter for what reason, no matter how good the excuse, no matter a majority of miners, no matter what." -- Greg Maxwell

Most shares you submit at slush get no reward.
Works the same way, only the shares in the payout range get a reward - and slush's payout range is very short.

What you are actually bitching about is the fact we had a ~600% bad luck block.
Fuck it - yep we all dislike the bad luck blocks. Just like we all like the good luck blocks - like the 4 just before.

I delete your regular posts telling people to go mine at another pool.
Like every other pool will do.

Edit: it will be interesting to see if that post you just made at that other pool gets deleted coz it simply refers to this pool Smiley

so am i safe to assume that i am waiting on more payments for this block over the course of the next few blocks mined? the amount of payments depends on the luck, i get that much.

The number of rewards depends on luck.
The number of rewards each share is 'expected' to get is 5

From Help->Payouts

Quote
How do the PPLNS payments work?

The 5Nd means the pool rewards 5 times the expected number of shares, each time a block is found.
So each share will be paid approximately 1/5 of it's expected value, in each block it gets a reward,
but each share is also expected, on average, to be rewarded 5 times in blocks found after the share is submitted to the pool.
i.e. if pool luck was always 100% then each share is expected to be rewarded 5 times.

If pool luck is better than 100%, then the average share reward will be better than 5 times.
If pool luck is lower than 100%, then the average share reward will be less than 5 times.

I console myself over that looong block with the following:

WHEN (not if) Slush, Antpoo, etc., hit 600% (or >) blocks (again?), those folks will scream a LOT louder than we are now.   Cool
(And a bunch of 'em will jump ship!)

MINE ON!

Coining bits since 2017

hmmm, all makes sense, i guess i joined at a really shit moment and got screwed by the 600% block, thanks for all the info. Ill stick around and see how it goes. Someone mentioned to me to calm down but Im here asking questions because I am here for the long run so Im going to stick around for the long run.

Yep - I've no problem agreeing with your valid description of what happened.
You did indeed join at the time of a bad luck block - which sux.
Unfortunately (or really more correctly - fortunately) you can't predict when it will happen, but just hope the long term results are close to expected, which they definitely appear to be Smiley

Of which I am not disputing - my statement is personal income variance. Over a longer period, all other things remaining equal, the 1.1% extra fee from e.g. Slush adds up.

Hence most of my hashpower is directed at Kano - but not all.

I joined recently also. We found 2 blocks since I’ve joined and I wasn’t ramped up for the first block. I can’t wait to experience the excitement of finding multiple blocks in a row.

Also, take solace in the knowledge that we all got screwed by that 600% block...and we all band together as a tight-knit group in that misery.  We also dance with joy when we have those days that we hit 4 or 5 blocks in quick succession and make more than anyone will believe! Cheesy

On a different topic, does the pool itself...

- try including as many fee-bearing transactions as possible?
- sort all the unconfirmed transactions by descending transaction fees?

Thanks in advance.

... it makes the txn fees close to as high as possible in the block.
The difference is negligible for the changes I make, but could mean a few satoshi less Wink
