Just put both my S4's on ebay. Going to upgrade. With that and my fluke meter, I might get close enough to 2 S9's  the balance from my pocket.

dont rush into s9's the new chip will be out soon and there will be a whole new level to move too.

I assume you are referring to the dragonmint?

nope those are jst more powerful type of s9 with 16nm chips.

7nm chips are out by end of year a number of companies will be throwing new asics on the market with them. jst one news article on the topic  https://news.bitcoin.com/7nm-asics-will-bring-bitcoin-mining-to-a-whole-new-level/

There is a long time between production of the chips and miners available for sale.  S9's will make a reasonable stepping stone during that year.

corperate useage is expected mid year by the end of the year machines will start poping up with the 7nm chips for general public. so sure grab an s9 or 2 but dont overpay for them (ebay) and i wouldnt be in a major rush since u will want to swap them out soon for something new jst like they did when the s9 first arived.

With the price of BTC being lower, and the anticipation of new chip design/releases, the price of the S9 has dropped. They are
also more readily available from bitmain. With Canaan releases coming up, and a few speculative machines, I'd expect the price
of the S9 to drop further. Still a good time to get some.

7nm and even 10nm are still a pipe dream. They can't get them to work and if they do, they will be too expensive to put into miners en masse. And in any case, we know that Bitmain will mine with them for a few months before launching to the common rabble.

HW errors have to do with your miner.  As for the rejects, it's different with each pool on the work being supplied to the miners.
