and again we need a block Going on luck, we're due a few 100+% 100% blocks here, which would be solved in about 50 hours give or take. Patience Daniel-san ... Fixed that so Kano wouldn't have to. Nah, it's just for me own quirkiness...If the average in theory should be at 100%, we're due some higher than normal percentage blocks. However that doesn't mean that the next block is that way. MINE ON WITH KANO-SAN!

...The bad news is... We're always due at 100 % from where we currently are...
I think I've seen you mention something similar before, but is the logic behind this due to constantly "starting over" to adjust for new block finds around the network every 10 mins or so?

No, it has to do with hashes being independent of each other. i.e. it doesn't know how many hashes before have gone by so it's always expected to be 100% from "right now" no matter where we are "right now" Clear as mud, right? Mine On!

I mean, I'm just happy that, in my opinion, one of the best people in crypto not only acknowledged the block i solved for the pool, but wants to compensate me for my AwesomeMiner purchase because i love the software, and he wrote the API. that's the special part to me. You think Marek "Slush" Palatinus would show up in his forums as much as Kano does? even when he did run the pool i doubt he was in the bitcointalk forums for his pool at about 2% the frequency Kano is. (which also happens to be the outrageous fee he/they charge to mine on that pool). I thought i was savvy by mining with slush when i first got the antminers because i used to mine hundreds of coins there in late 2010. I spent far too long mining on the wrong pool. EDIT: I'm not here to slam other pools, but the numbers speak for themselves But I bought awesome miner too!!! :-) And I am not talking about myself... :-P I mean the actual software... bought it... Actually the support on awesome miner is like that of Kano, Sent an email about support for the A3 when it came out, and it was fixed within like a day or two and a new version released. Maybe Kano is Mr Awesome Miner too? :-)

Someone in another thread asked about my miner specs, and Rewards from the pool. So, I'm gonna post it here, since it's off topic to the thread, and plus, new members can take a peek too! My avg TH/s is 23.6 at this moment. Soon to be higher in April. Note: We get rewarded when we find a block, not daily like the corporate shenanigans.

Flush, oops, Slush hasn't had control of his account here for years. He was hacked, and he probably didn't even notice. He sold his soul to a Corporate Committee, and they help run Bitcoin right into the grave!!! All the while boasting His name, and the marketing shenanigan "THE 1st BITCOIN MINING POOL"!!! As far as I'm concerned, they are just Non-Asia Bitmain shareholders. None of them give 2 sh*ts about Bitcoin's Health or Bitcoin's Longevity in the future. I also Promote the hidden evils of Corporate Pools, to inform and educate miners. (Not affiliated with Kano's Pool or name ofcourse). Alot of miners just go with the "bigger is better" frame of mind. This is also why they get stuck on "how much a day" too. Miners need to learn about Bitcoin, before mining it!!! It's not JUST ABOUT EARNINGS!!! If we allow ourselves to mine against the Health of Bitcoin, for the sake of more earnings, we are mining for nothing!!! Longevity is KEY!!! Edit: I do like to point out that Kano's Pool is more Profitable than Slush. Thank You Minergain!!! https://www.minergain.com

Question I've wondered since the beginning: Is the Kano Pool it pronounced "Kay-no" or "Kan-o"? I think my pronunciation is right, but I just thought I'd throw it out there for discussion. Hopefully, this doesn't start a "Gif" / "Jiff" war...

Kano posted something about how it should be pronounced a while back but I can't find it It was something like Ca (as in car) - nu if my memory serves me which is a hit & miss venture these days! Yeah both pretty close Japanese Hiragana is phonetic so there's no confusion about the sounds かの The Ka is like Car without the 'r' - the 'a' sound is short The No is like Not without the 't' - the 'o' sound is short ... however even I tend to say 'Ka' 'Know' since, speaking English all my life I tend to drag the end out and it becomes a long 'Know' instead of a short 'No' ... and since it's my name either is OK Though, no one who speaks Japanese properly would ever say 'Ka' 'Know' All japanese spoken phonetic sounds have a vowel sound on the end (except 'n') which usually makes the language very nice to listen to (especially when sung)

Formal Japanese Honorifics 1. – sama The most formal honorific suffix is -sama, and it’s used for God (kami-sama) and royalty (ohime-sama). You can also use -sama to flatter people or to be sarcastic. For instance, if you attach the suffix to the slang male term for “I” (ore) to create ore-sama, this basically means “my royal self.” 2. -san The most common formal honorific is -san, and it translates (approximately) to Ms. and Mr.. It’s used among peers and in public settings, like offices or schools (unlike in the United States., coworkers and fellow students usually refer to each other formally). It’s also used for acquaintances. *Note: When in doubt, use –san. source: https://takelessons.com/live/japanese/japanese-honorifics-z05

My Father lived in Japan for 10 years as a younger man and taught me a lot about what he learned of Japanese culture and customs. A very interesting people, I'd like to go to Japan someday. Have you been, kano-san? We know you've done China.

Not sure who did it, but the Kano Pool Twitter page, and I, were tagged in one of my posts with a guy named Rolf. The tag invited Rolf to contribute towards the pool, for the 10BTC giveaway. I personally sent an invite through Rolf's website too. He would be a good member here in the forum too, as he is most definitely educated in the ways of mining. Take some time to check out some of his stuff!!! Hope he considers our invitation!!! https://blockoperations.com

Are we welcoming any sales of used miners? I've got a few S7's we're offloading on Ebay, but would offer them here for a discount from the Ebay price if anyone is interested.
