I want to thank Kano along with everyone else in this thread. I spent a good many hours reading through a lot of the posts here and have learned quite a bit. I bought my first Antminer S9 2 months ago and have been using Slush. As of 30 minutes ago, I've switched over to the Kano pool. I'm looking forward to mining with you all and slowly but surely expanding my home mining operation. Thanks again.

Welcome aboard - I try to be around as much as possible to reply/help - but there's lots of other here who will do that also on the thread Also note, Discord is now certainly popular with over 120 people joined

Want to thank NotFuzzyWarm for the pool advice since I'm just trying to get back in the game. Looking for some advice on where you guys are colocating since current calculations are around $0.11/kwh which probably means I'll be taking a loss on running 5 x S9's. I've checked quotecolo so want to see what you guys are doing in terms of loss/profit.
Should be able to do better than .11 Hopefully you can pay your electric/hosting bill from your pocket, and let the rest of the BTC ride.

Keep us posted on how you do. I'm actually surprised you can get $0.11/kwh (~$90/month) for 5. I would have thought it would be more expensive. I use to run ( in my basement. What is your local home power cost? I reversed the calculation to come to around $0.11/kwh. But that's per rig so cost will be $500+/month. I reside in California now so it's not feasible to run them here.

So $100.00/month per rig total? That's actually not a bad hosting fee. You'll at least be able to cover your costs and maybe make a bit.

Last time I checked, Oregon Mines still had some space available in their upcoming expansion scheduled for August. I have 35 miners hosted there and have been happy with them so far.

I just see Bitmain machines, do they host Avalons and others? They are "semi-local" for me, so interested if I expand soon.

I had Avalon 721, 741, and Ebit E9's hosted there until about 2 months ago when I replaced them. They did tell me they will not host the Whatsminer M3, when I inquired about several months ago.

Yea that's right. Will be $500+/month for the 5 rigs. I wasn't sure since all calculators at current difficulty show a loss everyday at that cost.

Will have to get them shipped out to the colo datacenter. That's not bad at all, you can make coin off that.

Yea that's right. Will be $500+/month for the 5 rigs. I wasn't sure since all calculators at current difficulty show a loss everyday at that cost. I just checked an S9 at current diff and $0.11/kWh and it shows earning $147.46 per month. If you can have it hosted for $100 per month then you would make $47.46/month positive. For 5 of these, you would have a profit of $237.29 per month ($737.29-$500=$237.29). This was for a 13.5TH/s S9 pulling 1.4kW...

How often do Bitmain give out coupons?
e.g. is there a certain month or there would be coupons for sale from other users all year round?

Seems like whenever Canaan or another manufacturer makes an announcement for new gear or new model. Bitmain usually issues coupons right after that to coincide with their competors releases. An underhanded but well proven way to undermine their competition.

Most of the coupons expired in June, although some were into July. We are in wait and see mode....new miners should be announced soon....that's announced, not delivered...

I need to get these online and mining for kano ASAP then.
