<snip> this time last year BTC was $4064. It'll all even out This is what I keep telling people who are in panic mode. Some are not even mining, just investing and day trading. We are still doing great!!! Hell, I bought in when the price was at $170usd in 2015, so I can definitely see the potential. I'm holding my earnings, and ignoring all the negative "excitement" over the price "waves". It's the nature of the beast!!! Also:BTCring on BTCig BTClock Weekend!!!

Also--I'll try to keep this as on-topic as possible so a drive-by mod doesn't delete this --if you compare BTC to the current precious metals market, which is dropping like a rock (e.g. Gold@$1180, Silver@$14.50, Platinum@$780), you'll see how much of a buyers' market we're in right now, so be glad(!) because when the BTC ETF is most likely approved this Fall, BTC will undoubtedly skyrocket, and you very well may be sitting on a gold mine come winter!

ETF also makes it much easier to short. Please elaborate...if we are not too far OT? Any stock/etf is able to be shorted....this one won't be any different. And unlike futures where it takes a bit more capital to buy/short, this can be done by anyone with smaller capital/fiat.. It does open it up more to the masses as a whole, especially in retirement accounts, but the etf itself is much easier to short (and to buy).

ETF also makes it much easier to short. Please elaborate...if we are not too far OT? I don't claim to know all the ins & outs of it--or like all the wild speculation (*ehem* manipulation!)--however, I do know that making BTC easier to trade (e.g. "fund of funds" approach where a pension fund owns other funds, which own some cryptos, for example) will open up a huge, new access to investing that will pump a ton more money into the market. 'Huge' and 'ton' are quite technical terms, don'cha know? Edit: ...Basically, what Rifleman said.

Caution! Suddenly, an angry and offended moderator will appear, and remove everything! Certainly, they won't remove this beauty: It is with a great amount joy and jubilation that I receive the good tidings of yet another yonder block that doth burst forth, as if from the heavens, raining down upon my fellow mining folk peace, goodwill, and a token of monetary blessings! In other words... FFFFFFIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNAAAAALLLLLLLLLYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!

...Definitely gonna try this You'll love it! We celebrate so much here that the mods delete our posts. We get payouts 101+ confirms after every new block we get; not daily payouts like the big corporate pools. No high fees either--ONLY 0.9%! Quantity of BTC not quantity of transactions. Ha! You'll ramp up to full payouts over the first "roughly 8days 2hrs" (see https://kano.is/index.php?k=payout), but if you ever quit mining, your payouts will ramp back down even after you stop mining. In a nutshell, it's awesome, and that's why we're ~1,000 strong rebellion against the evil empire of corporate pools. P.S. Due to the recent rogue-mod deletes, you'll see a lot more activity on Discord. All the info you need is at kano.isP.P.S. Welcome aboard, and... MINE ON!!!

That was an unplanned restart of KDB at 6:28 UTC. Mining is unaffected. Restart will compete in about 10 minutes.

My miners lost connection to the pool around 6:00 UTC, and came back online at about 6:47 UTC. Not sure if this was related...

Ahh! My ISP just sent a late notice of a 'planned maintenance downtime' between 6:00 and 7:00 UTC today... What a coincidence!
(I hope it's not them that caused a KDB restart...)

Nope, it was a network issue between the web site and KDB - it a rare event that has actually happened before - it's been on the todo list to fix it for a while, but since it's so rare, it's below what I'm working on at the moment
