In order to get the maximum amount of activity points possible, you just need to post once per day on average. Skipping days is OK as long as you maintain the average.

I'm on board!
Onboard ! Welcome to the BTClock party! Check the kano.is > Help > Payouts section in case you're new to PPLNS mining. Basically, you get ramp-up payouts until you're mining at full capacity over the last 5Nd, and you get ramp-down payouts if you ever quit mining until it's been 5Nd since you stopped mining. If you need a visual, check your Kano.is > Worker > Shift Graph as each new ~50 minute shift gets added. Last thing: You might want to join Discord for more discussion (via the kano.is home page).
|
The BTCest mining pool (<1% fee): KanoPool***PPLNS rewards averaged over the 5Nd to reduce variance***

Wow.
So it says my percentage of the block was .012... which should have earned me .0015 BTC when solved... $10, right?
But yall hit me with 0.00010210... lolololo ... 70 cents? For mining all day long with yall?
Why in the world would anyone stay?
I don't understand the whole 5ND thing... and I CAN'T AFFORD TO FIGURE IT OUT.

back @ slush kano - I'll keep an eye on it to see what exactly transpires, probably should have read more into it... I know my 28Th isn't all that glamorous... but, damnnn slush's N is about 1 hour - not exactly sure how it's calculated, but you'd have to read his web site Our N is 5Nd - or the equivalent of 5 Network Difficulty of data - currently just under 8 days. This means that if you have an outage or change your hash rate, like you did yesterday - add miners, the variance here is MUCH lower than at slush. If you have a lot of outages, every day, and miner failures and generally can't keep your miners working, then slush's 1 hr N doesn't matter. If you have rare outages/changes in your hash rate, then our 5Nd means MUCH lower variance due to the changes. However, our pool variance is higher coz we're smaller.

You haven't been able to ping anything but JP and NYA for a while. You have to find a tcping (try google) and use port 8080 is the best option (and that will work on all nodes)

You haven't been able to ping anything but JP and NYA for a while. You have to find a tcping (try google) and use port 8080 is the best option (and that will work on all nodes) They are AWSLS servers and you can't use a normal ping on those. Here's where it first came up in this thread. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=789369.msg35912215#msg35912215Once you install TCPing, these will work... tcping stratum.kano.is 8080 tcping de.kano.is 8080 tcping jp.kano.is 8080 tcping nya.kano.is 8080 tcping sg.kano.is 8080 tcping uk.kano.is 8080 tcping us.kano.is 8080

Which means you didn't read how this pool works before coming aboard. Good luck at slush.
