Weird people are complaining about SP asking for money for a miner he makes.

0.1 BTC is less than I make in 1 hour at my work. Cuda Programming is just a hobby,.
I am the only one who give out free optimalizations. DJM34 hasn't released anything in over 6 months. Tvpruvot is on holiday. and Klaus_t is celebrating x-mas. Pallas is busy With private amd kernals.
Faster kernals meens more Money for the miner.
Faster opensource kernals meens less Money for the the biggest farms. (the hashrate is spread among he smaller miners)

0.1 BTC for a 25% increase is a giveaway.

I now have a discount on  my 120% faster pentablake miner. It can be Yours for a 0.1 BTC donation. (Joincoin)

pm for details..

I think u have hit the nail on the head there.  Way I see it, some people are complaining because SP does not make the miners, he just optimizes them.  Taking somebody else's work and improving it.  I don't think there would be any complaints if SP gave back some (a small percentage) of his donations to the original author of said miner.

That said, there is nothing stopping us users from donating to both the miner creater and the miner optimizer?!

Happy new year folks!

I just gave you 5% in the quark algo and 5% in the lyra2v2 on the gtx 950 and gtx 960. These algos where the most profitable..

Totally free.

Opensource.

A x-mas gift to the NVIDIA maxwell miners.

People donate when they earn more Money. DJM34 has made faster kernals but he doesn't share them. So what is the point.
If he share his faster kernals, People will donate. I will too.. His work on the lyra2v2 kernals has already been payed for by the lyra2v2 team. (vertcoin)

Speaking of Quark, yours needs some attention. I know you can do better than 5%.

My private kernal does 8.2 mhash on the 750ti

Well, actually I'm too busy to develop anything new. I promised I'd have a look at neoscrypt on cuda 7.5 and I will, meanwhile my hybrid "trick" works even if you don't want to call it a "solution" :-D

No one has released anything new in close to six months or so it seems. Everything that has been talked about here is old hat or the same epeen wars. Where you talk about how fast your super optimized miner is you only sell to a handful of really rich individuals.

Biggest improvement has come from Nicehash returning dividends with their paid bounty program, but that only applies to AMD.

I joined the Nvidia mining community because it was more open and forthright then AMD mining. That seems to have died out and turned back into the same shit as the AMD community. Nothing improves or changes. I still end up going back and mining Neoscrypt with ancient miners (that are definitely outdated). Donating doesn't do anything. There aren't any fund drives or anything either (or a way for me as a miner to buy a kernel). Everything has completely stagnated, which is what happened about six months before I had to stop mining with AMD hardware.

I'm sure that's not the case for big mining farms who employee developers.

Altcoin mining definitely needs a marketplace for selling kernels and miners.

I buy private Nvidia miners. Send information and/or inquiries to my PM box.

@impulse2000 what does your bat file look like for myr-gr algo? does the pool-side hashrate agree with your local hashrate?
i'm still only able to get 10% of local hashrate to show at the pool , even using --diff 0.039xxxx

Once again if anyone is interested in optimizing blake-256/blakecoin algo to AMD levels or better than it is now. You can discuss the bounty.

Thanks for that but how does it compare to AMD hashrates? Will it be competitive on 970 & 750ti?

In 6 months my fork has 350 commits and 14 releases. Almost all the algos have been optimized (up to 70% faster)

How would you know ? you never donated for neoscrypt, you just started mining it after I decided to release the source publicly.
