Agreed.  Maybe you could argue its "expensive" right now because the technology isnt out yet, but once the team starts rolling out the new features and tech, 200 sat will be a bargain.

It may be and it may not be.

[1] - a huge amount of development was already priced into the IPO

[2] - every man and his dog is bringing out coins with Bitcoin 2.0 and 3.0 features, decentralised exchanges and "smart contracts" right now

It will be a bargain if they actually succeed in creating a marketplace that encourages widespread adoption. But making that market exclusive to one currency is'nt exactly exactly a killer proposal IMO. It's hard enough getting commercial adoption for crypto when your open to all currencies never mind only one that's only held by a tiny minority.

DISCLOSURE: I put 1 BTC into the Bay IPO.

True but those coins fail because their team don't have money to support it. They're dedicated people without money and that doesn't end well. In Bay situation capital is there with the plan and money can be used to achieve the greatness.

All coins fail because poor dev/team and that won't be situation with Bay because we all know money is there. Good marketing team/dev is all it needs to get more investors/users/sellers and with $1.2 million on hand that'll be piece of cake for the team.

I dont really know how any of you took this ICO seriously.

In a deteriorating alt market where volume has already moved from alt exchanges to btc exchanges, it was damn near impossible to sell out of a 3000 BTC ICO.

Let me tell you what happened and whats going on;

The devs bought into their own coins and have been doing so every day of the ICO to create fake demand. For those that dont see the benefit of this, let me explain. When a dev buys into his own ICO, he essentially gets free coins for himself, since the BTC goes right back to him. To make it even simpler, if the dev buys 100 BTC of BAY @ 252 sats each, he will get all those BAY coins, PLUS he will get the 100 BTC back that he used to buy those coins at the end of the ICO.

So, as a dev with nothing much to show for, whats the best way to get an edge on the market? Easy. Dump your coins below ICO price ASAP. Why? Because investors know damn well that theyre not going to sell below ICO price. That would just be stupid. But the dev, who essentially got free coins, can gradually dump coins at any price ans still gain profit because of course, his coins were free. Another advantage of dropping the price below ICO is you lock out the current investors from selling. Devs know many ICO investors are not going to dump below ICO..so they will keep it around that range, while they slow-dump what they can and the ICO investors who refuse to dump are just watching these back and forth swings. Seriously, watch it. Any time some substantial buy support appears, someone immediately sells into it. No one holding over 1 BTC can safely exit and break even anymore.

Because of this, a dev can buy damn near half the supply, if not more, and he'd essentially be holding most of BAY, which is whats exactly going on here. Realistically, I'm sure the devs have made a legit 400 to 500 BTC from the ICO, but the rest was their own buys.

J9901, if you had half a brain you wouldn't be posting your crap here. You assumption about dev spent 2500 btc to buy his own coins during ICO is laughable.  Cheesy

If I was the dev and had that much money I wouldn't be wasting time in ICO..I would be chilling in Peru & driving Maserati.

Think before you open your mouth with bs & drama.

JL099 as you can see, your recent post stands. Your profanity and rasist attack was the reason your original post was deleted.

Your speculation on ico dynamics can be judged by forum members on its merits.

That post is not even worth reacting to.

Just an quickly rushed FUD post from someone who did not even spent 1 second reading anything of this coin.

I transfered 300 000 BAY from my wallet to exchange. My transactionslist shows it as 300 001 (tx + fee). Blockexplorer shows additional 478.93 went out (They are actually missing) to BP2jwuJixkCgiemTsUzeYDwAB2vCb5NAoK. Is anyone able to explain this?

Now that we have someone from the Bitbay team here, I hope I can get an answer

As an investor i request his fud be removed.

Why would some post something like that if they had no interest in the coin to begin with, allegedly? No life maybe? Or maybe both his wrists are sore from being lonely?

Looking at his other posts on other threads you can see hes a serial fudder, and probably has thousands of dollars invested in this coin, and probably thousands more once he can fud-drop Bay's value.

Yes fortunately the BitBay devs delete FUD posts in this thread so it will probably be deleted in a moment.

These stupid people are so lowlife that they try this kind of false accusation to sabotage coin.

Why is it laughable ?

I think his point is very valid. Whether it's true or not, there is no protection for investors against this type of behaviour.

They just have to "suck it and see" and hope that they're in the hands of people of impeccable integrity. That may be the case or it may not be the case but remember, this is crypto  Wink Track record is quite mixed.

I put 1 BTC into this because for every 5 scams I calculate on possibly picking up 1 worthwhile investment. But some people put some pretty big buys in - they're the ones with something to loose and for whom transparency is quite important.

It isn't enough just to say that an assumption is "laughable". If you don't know and there's no recourse to audits then such speculation is legitimate.

@taknormal: crypto is scary, get used to it. Can't risk? don't invest. Pretty simple

Assumption without proof = FUD

Assumption with proof = Fact

I make my judgement based on the proof and not on what someone thinks.

If people dont like this coin, just gtfo and spam your shit anywhere else.

Just face it, loads of people invested in this ICO and most of them are just holding because it is a serious project with a really good developer.
Some weak loosers are selling below ICO price because the coin did not fly to the moon the same minute it hit the open market. They will just go on to the next ICO and do the same shit all over again. Theese people will never earn any big money.

The price is holding out pretty good, let the fools dump and let other people in before the new tech is coming.
