Whatever..., better to buy at hashnest.com anyway and sleep calmly, if BTC is to crash everybody goes to hell no matter what, but at least you know you're mining at manufacturer. All those others just resell the same S5 with a portion for themselves Tongue

True. Unless the manufacturer decides to run. Anyone remembers Amhash?

still better than a ponzi operator who has no other option than to run. Or resort to dust payouts so you people like yourself can still pretend its "paying".

You're not trying to imply that Bitmain could run? Wink
I mean it can be arrested by government since they are in China or some other legal or force of nature stuff may happen, but I can't imagine a scenario where they would run like those companies involved in Amhash scam. It is the main manufacturer of equipment today, so hardly it would benefit them in the long run. Unless someday they will get outclassed by competition like in AM case and decides to make the most before closing up.

They can always run off with your money, any company that holds your funds, can. They may or may not get away with it,  history suggests they probably can, but thats besides the point. The real point here is that while legitimate companies might scam you, the ponzi's will.

No, I m not trying to imply anything. I ve had nothing but great service from Bitmain so far.

However, this is crypto economy, anything can happen even to the best.

Hah, not to worry. You have only about 12 weeks to wait for your money back. Who knows, maybe you make it.

Who'd want to get in this nowadays anyway... with the cutthroat and amount of processing power pumping thru the system already anyways, couldn't think you'd mine for anything more than well, next to nothing anyways.

Here's a new one for you, now that the forum came back it can get on the list:
HashManiac http://www.hashmaniac.com https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1065453

I think it should get a rating it deserves... unless they respond and provide the adequate proof of course.

Is gigahash.org a ponzi?

If it provides couldmining services and barely anybody even remotely heard of them - it generally means they are a ponzi and a scam. And a virus, if they offer to download anything like hashflare or how that retarded scam was called...

hashflare was really funny btw, they kinda made a thread, got beaten to ashes by scam accusation within a day, then close it, next day reopen another one with the same info and so on... Wink scam special tactics Wink

forum.gethashing.com in my opinion is the second biggest crypto forum. They offer cloudmining services using color coins as shares of a mining farm. I think they are legit, but the question is about profitability... I suggest you visit and read about the service, there's tons of info, for me it's a bit too complicated to invest, it's all clear how it works, but I'm just lazy to mess around with all those color assets and salts, I just better buy my ghs at hashnest Tongue

Very legitimate and transparent, just do not expect returns to be significantly higher than Antminer S5 GH bought on Hashnest exchange.

https://www.genesis-mining.com/

quote from the OP:
Code:
genesis-mining        1+4+7              => 3/7 = Probably legit (risk of fractional reserve mining)

The business itself is probably legit, but you have to do the math if it's profitable to invest (hint: "It isn't")

They have a risk of fractional reserve mining. That means that they might be reselling the same hardware to many different people not only one or selling more hashpower than they have to say in other words.
And they are terribly unprofitable. Why bother - buy from hashnest and have no worries Smiley
