Let’s see, how many of us called this? Just think of all those people not posting and what they think? There are so many people getting burnt by sending it a few seconds into the game do you think they will come back? They might do one more to see if they are faster but seeing it get tighter and tighter volume will go down. And yet everyone has been voting to keep the 24 hour game. This week’s weekly game was flawed and still paid someone that was 1.5 hours after start. The first one paid with for more than a day. Had the op not run 24 hour and shored up that game it easily could have continued. He very well might have signed the death sentence for his games. Or at least a much smaller following.

People knows of the ponzis work now and nobody invest after getting paid. I bet what you want that the weekly will be no different, a few seconds down the line and you won't be paid back. It doesn't matter that you have 24 hours or 24 days to get your money back since nobody invest after the first wave...

We can point to evidence that the weekly allows people to be paid for a larger margin of error from beginning.

... as this can happen to any of you. I'd like to continue playing the game but it should be fair. ...

1) This can only happen to those greedy/gullible enough to participate in ponzi schemes.
2) Ponzi schemes are by definition not fair.
3) Seeing all this you still want to continue playing.
4) Many people warned on this very thread

Conclusion: Don't expect sympathy from me, let alone compensation.

I think OP is right about that this game should not last 3 seconds. If people would reinvest, everyone would make more profit, as other people would also be willing to put money if there is a circulation.

problem is people aren't willing to risk it (and by people i mean my self included). so that changes the game . So it mite as well be a hourly ponzi.

I have been there with you. The people wanting it to get shorter will soon see the volume keep dropping and seeing how you will have to be in the first second heck that might not even do it.

Ummmm, the protocol itself doesn't provide that kind of precision, at least the OP now has the timestamps agreeing with blockchain.info.

In short the best that can be done is within a second, anything more assumptions need to be made about received time however that is dependent upon the source of the TX and how it is broadcast to the network.

Based on how you you've been playing (from your talk on the thread) I am fairly sure you are in the black in a big way overall even if you have had some rough patches.. Sure 30% lose but that is the name of the game...

It is extremely doubtful that the script couldn't keep up with such a small amount of transactions.  Probably what happens is the IPN is looking at the transactions in order it sees, but it is a massive race state around the globe until the transactions are planted into the blockchain.  There are probably multiple versions of lists until a version is accepted by the node that blockchain uses.   Maybe they exist differently for a very long time.

Additionally around GMT 00:00:00 I did a series of transactions.   There is a wide variation of when they are listed in the blockchain.   The lowest times I saw was 2 seconds, the longest was 6 seconds with most times either 3 to 4 seconds.

Today the play out time period was less than 3 seconds, which is less than the variation seen in just sending transactions and when they end up on the blockchain.   At this point one would be better to just play a dice game since the overhead is lower and the results are mostly random.   ~1% for a dice game vs 6.5% for the Ponzi, based on the deposits.
