The Countdown Timer is writen by "Andrew Urquhart" and is a JavaScript running in the browser.
Go look at how the JavaScript is written to draw conclusions about the timer.

The only thing to trust is the blockchain

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Transactions mere seconds below 00:00 should be refund... You can't base anything on a website timer, OP needs to change the address every round.

The real problem is that there was an error again, and people completely stopped investing because they are not getting their payouts back. It can't happen every day, OP needs to find a solution because it kills the game...

I don't have a problem with refunds for the slightly early ones.   Still these people were trying to jump the gun and now they are trying to create a loophole.   The OP should clearly state the start time.   There are plenty of ways to get correct time on the web.

seems the address 13owojW2yGUE1wjHNDfCiAD6yP85onjMhC was 1 second too early, but it is shown on the site list
are we looking at the timer of the site or block chains?

because the rules state (Attention! 24HourPonzi will launch when the timer hits 0. Do not deposit until Day #1 or you will lose your deposit.)

again the timer hit 0 when I sent it.  the site dosent say follow blockchainns time. does it.

Agree.
Same here.
Blockchain clock is not sync.

That 10 seconds early deposits must count as a good ones.
Or in worst case, make a refund of them.

+1!!!

Op instead of 24 hour runs just do a 2 hour run every single day because that is the only time there are investors. why make people wait 24 hours?  also good job on this your making bank.

It would be nice if the donations you took from this round went towards funding this round's deposits.

That I agree with.   It doesn't seem fair to mix the games.

I know but you can't really be sure if someone who sent 5-10 seconds too early did it on purpose or because his computer's clock or even the website's timer was off. The best way to handle this problem is to create a new address everyday and keep it secret before launch so nobody can jump the start. Again I don't habe any transactions before 00:00 but I feel bad for those who do and did it legitimately and I think a better solution should be fund.

Does anyone know if Blockchain has an official clock? So we can see what the game countdown clock says vs blockchain? It would be nice to see if blockchain is 10 sec behind game clock then those should be allowed in. However if they are both in sync the rules are clear on what to do with the funds.

I don't think there is one. There really does need to be a different start mechanic, tho. Everybody using the "Site" timer was actually relying on their own computer's time keeping. Some of them ended up sending early because the time hit 00 on their computer before it was supposed to. Other's probably ended up sending late because of that.

Yesterday, I had the site open for about 10 hours w/o a reload and was watching both the timer and the blockchain page. I noticed a flurry of activity on the blockchain while my timer still showed 15 seconds. I refreshed the website and the timer showed that we were already 10+ seconds into the round (it only took a seconds to reload); my timer was clearly off.

Relying on that Javascript timer (or whatever it is) is just a bad idea!

This happened to me. I saw a bunch of people going but I had like 10 sec or so. Thats why I thought 35 BTC or so was early. So I know it is asking the OP a lot because we have been asking a lot from him. He invested 20 BTC trying to fair up the weekly game. And now his rules clearly state early will be a donation. However since the website timer can become off maybe it would be best if they just get a refund this time until a better way to start is figured out. Just my thoughts. Truthfully either way he goes I will not be mad because one way would be just following his rules. However for the sake of those people I can see this is a flawed way to start.

I think it might change people are waiting for first payouts. This is what happened with the weekly one. That one took longer to fix and then had a double payout for the first people.

OP take fees on the transaction when they come in the wallet right? So there should be no other transactions to fees after that?

That is a good idea.   As long as the site doesn't DDOS on people hitting F5.

Other then when the API crashed it didnt take fees from them. This happened in the weekly one too. And least thats what it looked like to me.

wow so much btc for the OP, why not make 5 rounds a day?  that would be great no? since one of these games lasts about less than an hour each. more profit for early  investors and more profit for OP.

When people see who is paid the line would be very short.  There could still be a few hours of play.   However the slowness of starting the payouts is killing the chances.

The shorter he makes them the less time they will last. If the weekly one didnt have problems it would have gone a lot high IMO.
