Do 23:59:59 transactions also in game??

I seriously think a very hard line should be drawn.   Otherwise it just isn't fair.   Counting a donation is pretty harsh, but maybe a refund wouldn't be so bad.  But either one should be done.

Refund 1% less foreach second too early should be fair, or start at 90% and lower it 1% foreach second..

i'm in i think, but only played with less than 0.1

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

I think you are safe. He was taking those before 00 utc. I think he even allowed 1 sec of error.

The question for me is, what he does with people and their 8 secs of error...
To keep them as donation would not be fair!!
Definelty not!

its not an error! It was greed to get in early. Tongue

It should be donations! Thats the rule clearly on the website!

I am mixed on this. At first I said it should be a donation. Now I am not sure. The rules clearly state it will be a donation. So that part makes me want him to follow the rules to the T. We want him to follow them when it pertains to him so we should when it pertains to us. However if there is some difference between what blockcahin says for time and what his game time then I think we should not punish those that used his game and not block chains time.

Something is wrong here.
I started transfering 5 seconds after 01.00am here and after countdown expired on website, and here is the proof.

http://www.btcponzi.me/payment.gif

But blockchin says it was 5 seconds before:

1229CbDaM7REgkpu9jYUXwHy2xEyHtaFeB--124hrKamS1ZQpEXQ3bPkrjp6KDKxspMfXp 0.5 BTC

That means I have lost my money?
I think thats NO JUST. If OP doesnt want to pay us, just make a refund. Was not my fault. I have waited.
Thanks.

are we looking at the timer of the site or block chains?

because the rules state (Attention! 24HourPonzi will launch when the timer hits 0. Do not deposit until Day #1 or you will lose your deposit.)

again the timer hit 0 when I sent it.

Does anyone know if Blockchain has an official clock? So we can see what the game countdown clock says vs blockchain? It would be nice to see if blockchain is 10 sec behind game clock then those should be allowed in. However if they are both in sync the rules are clear on what to do with the funds.

He is manually entering the addresses. I am guessing that 100 transactions in 1 min crashes his API.

If you refresh the site, the time you see is the correct time. If you leave it running on the page for a while, the time may drift. It's best to look at the blockchain time. I was lenient with those who sent a second or 2 before the timer hit 0. Any more than that and it was a clear mistake by the sender. The timer had not hit 0 nor had the time hit 0:00 GMT.

Anyway, I am having a dev look at completely migrating away from blockchain.info. They're a very bad service. I got them to whitelist my IPs, they said they did and then this happens. IPs blocked again. Ridiculous that they do that. If all goes well, we should be off blockchain.info by the start of Day #2!

I am just finishing up adding the missing addresses and then payments will start.

Thanks,

Agree.
Same here.
Blockchain clock is not sync.

That 10 seconds early deposits must count as a good ones.
Or in worst case, make a refund of them.

Transactions mere seconds below 00:00 should be refund... You can't base anything on a website timer, OP needs to change the address every round. (I just want to add that I don't have any)

The real problem is that there was an error again, and people completely stopped investing because they are not getting their payouts back. It can't happen every day, OP needs to find a solution because it kills the game...

I don't think there is one. There really does need to be a different start mechanic, tho. Everybody using the "Site" timer was actually relying on their own computer's time keeping. Some of them ended up sending early because the time hit 00 on their computer before it was supposed to. Other's probably ended up sending late because of that.

Yesterday, I had the site open for about 10 hours w/o a reload and was watching both the timer and the blockchain page. I noticed a flurry of activity on the blockchain while my timer still showed 15 seconds. I refreshed the website and the timer showed that we were already 10+ seconds into the round (it only took a seconds to reload); my timer was clearly off.

Relying on that Javascript timer (or whatever it is) is just a bad idea!

It would be nice if the donations you took from this round went towards funding this round's deposits.
