Nope. The dev and coin I'm talking about were a real deal but something strange happened. He was also testing the main feature on testnet but then just disappeared and a dump followed.

This reminds me of another coin that had a great developer, a killer feature and big plans but eventually suddenly died. Even the ATH price is the same as well as dev's MO and the dump. I really hope this is not the same scheme being pulled by someone.
No, Poloniex would not have reviewed the code and lowered the necessary confirmations to 1 if this was a scheme. Similarly, it wouldn't be the only coin that can be compiled on Android, iOS, etc. if it was a scheme. John-connor is the real deal, probably the best coder in the altcoin space, but yes, his personality is somewhat... eccentric.

And was that coin also developed from scratch? Your comparison is pointless to say the least I hope so, we'll see. That coin wasn't but there were some significant improvements to it made by the dev. There's always an expense-outcome trade off so it is not impossible to spend some time/money to develop something from scratch if the profit is going to be good.

It's just traders...or mining or something. John invented FPGA mining...or is everyone forgetting that he did that among others things?
God dammit...

SPR? Aaaaand we have a winner You are just speculating. I don't get what is the contribution of these kind of comments to this thread.
Critical thinking is good. Do you think that posts like "Give me more cheap coins. We'll be rich! Buy buy buy!" make greater contribution?

(mining question) I'm only getting like ~50 MH/s from my 270x card. Does anyone else have 270x? Would be great to see your bat file config settings.

I'm for critical thinking, but what you wrote is just as stupid as those comments you mention. Critical thinking has to be sustained by some rationale. Your comment is not. I didn't mean they were yours, no offence. My doubts are based on similar things I saw in the past, on my experience. By the way does anyone know how often does John visit the forums? He hasn't logged in to both for 3 days already.

BTC is on free fall. Some investors sell their altcoins to exchange the BTC for dollars and then buy back the BTC and alts cheapest after

It was probably a clone, not a complete rewrite that had been worked on for over a year before launch. Not the same situation, I know the coin and avoided that one as I knew it was a scam. There is controversy with this coin as new ideas are being tried, and some disagree on it, but that is what testing is about, to see who is right and if patches are needed. (all coins have challenges) I had someone pro check the code, and we agreed there was way too much work for it to be a scam. Nobody works 6-12 months on something that isn't real, night after night, and I am willing to bet on that with a good deal of confidence. Anyone that has ever worked that much on something understands.

270MH/s on 270x card - with smelter miner by Smolen from OP. Be sure, you don't have old Catalyst driver. I have 15.4 Beta driver now. Edit> bat file: smelter -o stratum+tcp://vnl.suprnova.cc:1111 -u Weblogin.WorkerName -p WorkerPassword -g 4 -W 64

Idcray farmers are known for mining and selling. My guess is that is all that is happening here. Coincidence that their hash also left idcray pool to their own private pool yesterday?
Vnl is most profitable for mining right now and I don't blame if they are dumping

From what I'm reading, VNL has the best potential to become a true internet currency.

Why would you not call the name of the coin? Then is just FUDDING. Pure nonsense to compare VNL to another coin. VNL is NO clone of ANY crypto out there!
