Another 250+ shares buy, you can't convince me this is just some bot doing its thing. It also isn't someone buying in his/her own orders... This has to be some action from someone who knows something! Geez, I'm all hyped up!
It's a bot doing its thing. That 250 shares order gets filled once on bid, then on ask side. Someone is making 5 btc on this trades! Happened several times in last few weeks. Nice trades. I'm waiting still with my 1 gambling btc. Yeah, big spender Maybe it's time to put it to work like this!

I just hope FC and co. can get us some healthy and regular divs while the btc/usd valuation is low like now so that the BTC value of shares has room to skyrocket. What I really want from this thing is more BTC. If they time it right, I will get that!
What about next gen? that's what I'm hoping for. Next Gen succeeds, we see divs, stock value in BTC rises. not just reinvestment this time around. You didn't understand. What about money needed for gen5 if AM starts issuing healthy and regular divs? I'm hoping they do a split. Really I'm mainly voicing my frustration with the dwindling share price. When BTC is low, it is easier to raise the price of shares in BTC. The valuation of AM in dollars is one thing, but the havelock market is another. It runs on the sentiment of a bunch of retards like me who see divs and leap in. I really hope AM can hand out some divs this time around, jack up the price and then I can get my btc back. Another round of no divs R&D crap mining environment etc ect ect... it is starting to look like every other ponzi and scam in here where its all promises and "at some unknown future date" and I'm tired of it. TL;DR - I want AM to manipulate the market to my benefit.

So you want it manipulated so you can dump your shares off to someone who can't determine it's value? This is pretty unethical. Remind me not to do business with you. I'd like to see the share value in btc rise for AM but only because they are doing well and there is real value there.

Yeah, AM actively manipulating the market would be a pretty bad sign and I also hope that we won't see this in the future. But I still believe they are honest people and won't do such things deliberately!

Jeez guys, I'm being facetious!
seeing as no news, vague promises of future action constantly getting pushed even further into the future, no financials, no word from AM... there is little else left here to say or do... aw ferget it. Maybe in January 2016 something might happen
there is so little that is legit about any unregulated security that i no longer expect ethics. humor, on the other hand, i would think you are all able to grasp humor, you invested in this thing, didn't you?
or are you all on edge because its been too little for too long and things are starting to look grim every day AM sits spinning its wheels in the mud. Profits go into R&D towards a new chip that even if on spec, is not sold due to ineptitude in marketing. So, create another company, sell them the chips to cloud mine, this is great for AM? why? none of us saw a dime from that and we have zero reason to believe they wont pull the whole thing over again. and again. and again, until a REAL manufacturer moves in and blows AM to smithereens. When this happens do you honestly believe bitfountain will let any of us know UNTIL AFTER they have cashed out their position?
ethics, yeah right

I recommend the latest version of Minera. The current build of cgminer should be able to handle Tubes and Prismas. Minera 4.0 also allows using your own custom builds, so you could build ASICMiner's branch and link it from the interface if you have problems with the main branch of cgminer. https://github.com/michelem09/mineraASICMiner's cgminer branch, if needed: https://github.com/blockerupter/cgminer

Ok, I have a question I'm hoping someone familiar with the current gen chips can answer? There has been talk about self mining but I wonder how likely it is ASIC miner can regain a large percentage of the network again. Since we have the numbers for the new gen can anyone more familiar maybe weigh in on how much electricity and data center space AM would have to hold about 20% of the network?

I thought the tests on the chips were done and the specs known. I know we won't know the network size but assume that it stays roughly the same. (I know that's not realistic)

Electricity: About 15MW. Assumptions: 300PH total network hashrate, 0.25W per GH, 20% network share.

I did some rough calculations using your 15MW and from the most recent tests it looks like AM would need to deploy 490,000 24 chip boards to gain 20% of the network. Does that sounds right? I wonder how many boards were deployed the the 5ph AmHash farm. 490k boards sounds like a daunting amount of work that might not be doable.

Electricity: About 15MW. Assumptions: 300PH total network hashrate, 0.25W per GH, 20% network share.
Tubes (curently used by AMHASH) are rated @ ~1W/GH. So we can asume that AMHASH (5PH) is curently @ 5MW facility. With new gen hardware AM could have ~20PH thats 6.66% of total hashrate. Few months back there were pictures of new datacenter under development with cooperation of RM and some others (can't find it now). So, if it will be another 5MW then AM can have over 10% of total hashrate.

Under development Modular UPGRADEABLE Miner (MUM). Looking for investors. Changing one PCB with screwdriver and you have brand new miner in hand... Plug&Play, scalable from one module to thousands.

Am can't just unplug gen 2 and replace with new chips though. AmHash owners still own shares until the mining OP is unprofitable which may be some time. I wonder how AM will handle this because it would be a shame to waste 5MW on gen 2 hardware but they can't just give AM hash owners gen 3 hardware for free.

AMHash owners are getting paid based on formula. Hardware can be replaced, formula calculating the divs stays the same, and operating costs stay as stated in the contract. You're right, new hardware would be free for AMHash owners, but AM can then get over half of that 5MW power for additional new mining hardware.

Also, probability that AMHASH contracts expire before next deployment is likely high. What would a reasonable expectation be for the next 4 diff adjustments? If they are up, that should clear AMhash contracts.

If I was AM I'd just wait for the AMHash contracts to expire due to lack of profitability then replace the hardware and sell more contracts. Those contracts pay for their own maintenance so running the farm pays for itself. If AM can build a few new farms as well, so much the better. Remember, they had 60 Ph/s worth of chips early last year.
