Academic? In my experience they are very smart guys who actually have very few real world skills and therefore insulate themselves within the cloistered walls of academia
They are usually hopeless businessmen
They can also be perennially surprising
Jury is still out on this AM gimrack
They do hold the lions share of interest in this concern
That says a lot to me

In this interview he said he's still holding most of the Asicminer shares.

Yet he's also the CEO of Bitmain (Antminer)!!! That's why these two companies have a
good relationship. FC actually just sent the gifts to Bitmain.
