imho there is no real restrictions. Mongolia is building up. they want to attract businesses and develop their economy. it seems numerous partnerships have already emerged between them and china, or even russia, with pluri-cultural/national cities, innovation centers etc etc...

Yeah I guess we don't know that, but I believe they may still be located in China. The prices friedcat has stated aren't that low, actually and I believe he may have gotten those prices even in China. I hope he is aware of the prices in Mongolia!

You also have to factor in how easy or hard it is to actually start and maintain a mining operation in those countries. It could also prove difficult to gain access to the large quantities of energy needed to power a large mining operation.

You also have to factor in how easy or hard it is to actually start and maintain a mining operation in those countries. It could also prove difficult to gain access to the large quantities of energy needed to power a large mining operation.

And the stability of the country.  If some government sees that this factory is 'creating money' at the rate of several million per month, they could easily seize the factory / mining equipment for themselves.

They could have ongoing contracts. And if BitFury played their cards safe and wanted to hedge a bit, they'd sell AM some capacity to run their own chips. Very much like Apple still buys a ton of components for their iPhone from Samsung, its "arch nemesis".

I didnt do quiet so bad as you but I certainly "bought high, sold low"
I felt a little better after I was able to recoup my position due to dive-bombing prices, still... now its "bought low, sell even lower?"
man, I sure hope not! I've been beaten black and blue in this securities game. Labcoin, ActiveMining... ugh! I'm really pulling for AM to save my bacon, at least partially, but things do not look great here.

I do not expect to see 4BTC/share again. That is simply unrealistic, you know, but if fuckin FriedCat would do us all a little tiny solid and fuckin turn on some self mining for the benefit of AM holders...just a bit of divs... I am convinced share value could approach 0.5, even 1 BTC if the divs are ok and regular.
Instead any hope of this is gone due to AMhash getting all the hashes. I really would like to see the financial breakdown of that deal, because I know AM needs to reinvest, BUT, I don't especially trust their business acumen, even if mine sucks.
