Chips weren't ordered because there was no money to pay for the order. Attempts at securing necessary funds failed. So the order was never placed due to the lack of funds.
Canary, I have always found you to be an honest person. So I put some weight in what you say. That said... Have you seen any actual proof that the wafer order was not made, or is this all hearsay? And if you saw no proof, is it not plausible that you were misinformed, whether that was malicious or not? Edited to add. The last we were all told IIRC, was that there was enough btc / money available to keep us going even with a depressed btc price for quite some time.

Well I think Jutarul - who is a board member also said something along those lines. I think a couple of pages ago he revealed what the board actually knows and it doesn't look too good.

I'm not an AM fanboy, I was an AM shareholder. When have you liquidated your shares? Chips weren't ordered because there was no money to pay for the order. Attempts at securing necessary funds failed. So the order was never placed due to the lack of funds.
This information should've been released for all shareholders. Keeping this secret is a bad thing for everyone. Another fail from AM.

Right now it really doesn't seem to make any sense to liquidate any more. It's just a penny stock now and a big gamble on an improbable resurrection at some point in the future!

Yeah, it's depressing. I also though that lamby being right just makes the whole thing *so much* worse. You can just hit 'unsubscribe' at the top of the thread, right on top of the first post of a page.

Wow I did not forsee ASICMINER go that low and end as a venture like this...... I am glad I exited at 0.15, At least whatever I had left, I got the principle, Since I am an IPO investor.
So how can we get REAL information about what happened to Friedcat?

I guess the only thing left for us to do is wait for him to show up / be found. Maybe the digging done by those who put a bounty on his head also pushes things forward, but I don't approve of those measures.

By getting the Chinese Government to ask the questions.

If no, it may be BTCTalk rubbing some salt into the wound :/

By getting the Chinese Government to ask the questions. Well if AM was really stealing electricity, or unknowingly did so (by paying rates that are ridiculously low) they may be looking for him as we speak. But apart from that... I don't know... allegedly scamming investors in an unregulated virtual company?...

Caveat Emptor and all. Sigh.
I was an investor in AMHASH, just as I was once an investor in PETA. Luckily, unlike our friend AirWolf, I remembered my experience with PETA and dropped out of AMHASH (too soon, but luckily enough did anyway) and recouped my investment. I learned a lesson: know when to fold.
I think the larger problem with all of them is they don't plan for expansion/upgrades. It's all about the immediate return. I remember when PETA actually had a vote about going 100% returns or not. Because folks were more apt about getting their BTC.
Short term gain, long term loss.
I think the lessons learned out of this is simple: "Entities" need to be more public about information. I'm almost of the point that there needs to be a third party overseeing/validating the information. Because this is happening too often. Scams are one thing, and I don't think PETA and AMHASH were scams. I think they were poorly run businesses with a lack of oversight and disclosure. Say all you want: AMHASH was only spilling "Grass is green over here, Unicorn Farts and Rainbows", and not anything realistic.
It is a shame, however. If someone figures out the magical model for a public large-scale Bitcoin mine, they will probably have the following:
1. Less returns per a period of time. A mine cannot remain stagnant, as the Bitcoin network is anything but. 2. It must invest in itself first. 2. An actual sustainable business model. 3. The intestinal fortitude to actually see it through.

I dunno what's going on, I've been playing with notify and watch/unwatch for days and nothing seems to work oh well! Hold tight, bro! The new $1.5 million forum software, which is being developed as we speak, will surely take care of this. I did a little bit of research on Slickage ...They also have a website but all it does is link to their Twitter and Github accounts. I'm curious how they were able to get this job.
Slickage Studios' website is their economy $500,000 version. The new $1,500,000.00 forum is going to be even better & more full-featured.

As soon as I found out FriedCat had gone missing. I don't see any point in keeping hold of them now.
