Right that reminds me of an old shareholder question
How are the safety ratings on our ASIC's Smiley
For sure better than BFL  Wink

AM ASICs are certainly well-tested. That's one of the advantages of AM running their own mining operation alongside the hardware sales - it's an excellent way to ensure that you're putting out quality products.

Eating your own dogf... err.. catfood, as it were! (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eating_your_own_dog_food)

That would be a strange IAMs commercial.
I get your point before they ship they use their own gear and are able to calculate average failure rates and safety.
I was thinking more along IEC lines should they get stickers on them to say their safe (Without Super Overclocking XD)
Perhaps a IEC certified friedcat on the moon sticker  Grin or a stamp if their allowed to customize.

Since I sold my shares around 3.24, I never get it back ....but ,I hold large quantity of DMC.......So I also be part benefit out by this increase...

I am holding couple hundreds BTC in hand and still put my buy orders at 3.25 which seems hopeless right now....

I feel regret now,how could I sold my shares at 3.24........I am really mad at that time.....

i told everyone only reason to sell is if you want to attract bigger holders to sell aswell so you can buy back in at a cheaper price,
its the dividends we are after,
mining bitcoin is a lucrative venture, investing in a mining company/ that also sells the mining equipment is a win/win situation.

if i had the possibility/ space/ time/ and low electricity ect.
i would definetly have my own operation and possibly try to invest in more and more.

with am shares i get my dividends, and my hardware doesnt become obsolete because they add more improving new hardware as time comes,

i would be willing to help organize a sell off to drop price, but we need to make sure we can buy back more at lower to atleast not make a loss,

Selling isn't going to attract bigger holders to sell. Share price rising to 9-10BTC (or even 5BTC) on the other hand definitely will get larger shareholders to sell at least part of their holdings.

I'm as content to own AM shares as anyone, but there's a limit to what the company is worth, given inherent risks. A very fast rise to 5+ will just attract the speculators...I for one don't need that.

I don't support market manipulation like that.  Everyone that is investing right now wants a return on value, just like you have.  Why would you want to intentionally make them lose value?

I advise people to hold, don't fall for crap like this.  He's waiting to buy your shares back before you can.

this sounds like classic price manipulation how and why would you do this to current shareholders..thanks

Thank You Techicenine. I can see you are trying to improve on writing posts.
To further improve their quality try to read them before you post them.
I think most of dislikes comes from too hasty posting.

You used lot of unnecessary characters before, yet you forget to use the really important ones like question marks(?), periods (.) or commas(,).

Also he already said why he would organize the sell off so no real reason to raise that particular question.

Keep up the good work!

Don't write his name, it seems to trigger a post.

Monero's privacy and therefore fungibility are MUCH stronger than Bitcoin's.
This makes Monero a better candidate to deserve the term "digital cash".

Pff I sold my shares at 1.7  or 1.6, somewhere around there   8_[

Re-bought in, sold at 2.9 I think it was.

Re-bought in again, sold at 3.4    (this time I was like NO WAY it's going to go much higher...but of course...lol...)

Re-bought (less shares) now at 4.2  and going to hold on for a while.

Everytime I doubt ASICMiner I get proven wrong.

the yield on ASICMiner is still **very very very** high compared to other classes of assets one could hold. It is very likely that the share price keep increasing until the yield is 1% or 2% a year, more in line with other kinds of assets.

There are no ex-dividend days on the exchanges, and similarly one could leverage up and get 4, 8 or 16% yields no matter how low the yield went.

I think expecting the share price to go up till we are at a 1% APR is delusional.  I am a bull on AM and in Bitcoin in general... but if I go below what I can get from traditional investments, I think I may cash out some holdings.  The reason APR is so high is that AM could disappear with little recourse for many investors.  I do not believe this will happen, i think friedcat managing a successful business in this space that is highly trusted will be more profitable long term for him then theft, which is why I accept the risk.

If we get down to <10% apr, you will see people exiting.

Now if you are saying us getting to that kind of yield after bitcoin is in mass adoption and the risk associated with holding bitcoin is mostly gone... well that is a different story.

+1.  For 1% APR, you can have your money sitting in a bank with FDIC insurance. For an unregulated investment in "shares" in a company with < 1 year of profitability, people are going to expect a significantly better return. Anything less than 10-15% is going to clear out a lot of investors.

My thoughts exactly.  1%?  If we are to consider that you are a rational investor who would like the least amount of risk with the highest return, you'd lean towards many other investments at that rate.  My personal tipping point would be roughly around 15%.  Not many standard investments can reach that rate of annual return

I posted this already, but I think 30% is the point where things change for AM.  Above 30% APR, buy and hold.  Below 30%, look to sell.
